The property was clean
The property is fine but the room the bed the mattress it was too old. It was like a hole there. I’m talking about the room 325. The bed need to be replaced.

Elevators need a little work. Pool small. Need another waffle machine
The staff was nice, talkative and helpful. It was a good location to all activities we wanted to do.
We stayed in a handicap room. The tub was slippery and there needs to be an outside grab bar to aid in stepping in and out of the tub.
The location was great, close to everything! The front staff was really nice and helpful!
The breakfast was not good, very greasy. The water in the shower was cold almost every night when we took showers and our toilet was messed up. We called and asked them if they could come look at it and they never did. We also didn’t like that housekeeping didn’t give us clean sheets. They replaced towels, toilet paper and trash bags but never our sheets and we stayed for a week.
Room and staff were too notch for price. Conveniently located near Historic Southport and Oak Island
Elevator worked but sounded scary.

Previous stay great. We drove 125 miles to get there on time and I gave them my confirmation and they wanted to take out the two days then and on a Monday I deposited our check that goes thru on Tuesday. We had the cash but they couldn’t take it either and I asked about a certified check from our bank across the street and no again. Very blunt and we have always paid early at check out. Naomi Carter
Attitude
The lady at the front desk on the nightshift was nice and friendly. Very helpful. The AC in the room was good.
The bed did not sleep well, the closet had moisture in it from water and made our clothes damp, the shower had hair in it and was dirty. We've stayed here before and it was better before. We love Southport, but when we return we will definitely not stay here again.
A place to sleep
Extremely musty mold smell in hallway and in rooms, we were part of a group of people and all had the same experience on the 4th floor rooms. Rust on coat rack and extremely wet in closet ironing board was rusted and falling apart
Always clean and accommodating
The only thing I have to say bad was we were traveling with 3 of our grandchildren ages 1-7. We found a pill on the floor under the edge of our bed. It was a blood pressure pill. We looked it up on the internet. It could have been bad if one of our little ones had found it and eaten it.
The AC was already on and the room was cold when we got there
Several pugs did not work, not very clean in areas, only one working elevator, had to ask for extra towels
Location was great. House keeping was great.
No hair dryer in the room. Very little hot water. Breakfast was very greasy. Coffee grounds in Coffee every morning. TV was out for 2 days.
Staff was friendly and willing to help. Location is close to bald Head Island ferry.
The first room we walked into had a terrible urine smell. We noticed as soon as we opened the door. We immediately left the room and went down to talk to front desk. The lady at the front desk was kind and took us into another room. The second room had mold, you could definitely smell it. We decided to just try to sleep through the night as it was very late and we had to be up early the next day. We initially had reserved this hotel for two nights, but checked out first thing the next morning.
It's highly outdated and had a bad smell, though everything was clean. The tubs and shower were clean, but there were stains from it being old.
