Overall it was a good stay and served our purpose for a weekend stay.
Pros:

Convenient to Southport and Oak Island. It was very clean and staff was very nice.

Cons:

The sofa was extremely hard and uncomfortable! We had two couples in two rooms and all agreed the sofa was awful. The bed was lumpy and soft causing body aches for me. My husband seemed ok with it. The other couple didn’t have problems with it either so maybe it’s just me.

We loved it. So convenient to Southport and Oak Island. Staff was pleasant.

The room was spacious and clean.

Cons:

The staff other than one night front desk employee was rude and acted like you were bothering them if asked for them to do their job. We stayed for 5 nights and housekeeping never came in until our 4th day and I had to ask for service then, when I asked for service the front desk employee acted like it costed money from her paycheck for them to give us clean linens.

The room was fine and water hot

Cons:

pool not open; upholestry on couches and chairs stained and gross;the every day maintenace fellow work unkept work clothes to handle even breakfast equipment and food. Front desk employee friendly enough but hair unkept.
