Good location - 20 minutes walk to centre or easy buses with stops right outside. Nice people, great room, great breakfast.

I stayed at Hotel Zinema7 with a group of friends, and we loved it. It’s outside the old town but there are some nice restaurants and cafés nearby. It’s about a 20 minute walk into the old town, or a very easy busy journey (the buses stop in the main road outside the hotel and we relied on Google maps). I had a lovely spacious room. The window was small, but it was fine. We had a drink in the hotel bar and although we didn’t eat at the hotel, the food looked good. Members of the group had minor problems which were sorted out efficiently and courteously. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

We loved it! So nice people. Many cafees and bars around. We rented bikes near by. Excellent choise.

Do not stay at this hotel..

Where do we even start. it's located far from everything and there is no restaurants or coffee shops near by. (30 minute walk to old Town)..The air-conditioned also does not work . We called the front desk several times and they said they would fix it . It would stay on for a few minutes then shut off. it was unbearable to sleep at night (and this was in April) Also, we did try to open the windown but there was several pigions on the window sil trying to come into the room.. So sleeping with the window open was not as option..

Also, we were staying for 2 nights. on the second night we thought about extending it due do friends coming into town and we did not want to move. ( which looking back we should have) . We were quoted the same price for the third night as for the first 2 nights. As we said we would need to see if we could cancel our current reservations at a city near by.. We cancel came down to the receptionist to book and now we were told that it was double what they had quoted us. As it was late and we had dinner plans and now having canceled our current reservations. we did not have time to pack up and leave. The next day we were told that the receptions was on training and misquoted us and there was nothing that could be done.

One of the worse experiences we ever had. Do not stay here!!

We had a pleasant stay: the hotel was in a good location, a pleasant walk away from the old town. Overall we felt that the level of service provided by the hotel does not match the 4-stars rating: cleanliness was 4.5/5, we expected more thoroughness. Amenities in the room were fairly poor. Also the the TV was unusable except for using DVDs, and the DVD selection was pretty poor as well: we got two movies but didn’t watch either of them as they were not what we expected (different movie with same title as a more popular version, or did not have the subtitles/language combo we wanted).

Hotel Zinema 7 has a good location not far from the old part of the city or La Concha Beach. Around 15 minutes walking. It is a modern hotel with all the services needed available and a good service. It is clean and quiet, the staff from the Hotel is helpful when asked for information. The rooms are spacious with good views of the avenue and comfortable. They have even a service of lending movies to watch on a DVD in the room, and a saloon library about cinema by the hall. It is interesting that every room is dedicated to an actor and that with the library and Alfred Hitchcock sitting in the entrance gives an ambient of how San Sebastian values the cinema festival.
This is my second time in the Zinema 7 Hotel and I would definitely recommend it to everybody.

We loved the family rooms at Hotel Zinema7. Check-in was a breeze, and the parking garage was very convenient. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding our recent stay at your hotel.
While some aspects met expectations, the overall experience was disappointing and does not align with what I would expect from a four-star property.

The hotel itself is acceptable, but certainly not a “wow” experience. In my view, it reflects more a three-star standard compared to international benchmarks. The location is reasonable, with approximately 15 minutes to the bus terminal and around 25 minutes to the old town.

We cannot comment on the breakfast, as we chose to go out instead. There are several very good coffee places nearby, such as Simona or Oldtown Coffee, both within a 15-minute walking distance.

The main issue, however, occurred during checkout. When we asked to store our luggage, the front desk staff did not provide any form of receipt or proof that our luggage had been accepted (for example, a tag or paper with a luggage number). My partner politely suggested that this would be a good practice to implement in the future, based on professional experience within hotel operations.

Unfortunately, the reaction from the front desk staff was unprofessional. Their voices were raised, and they referred abruptly to company policy instead of addressing the concern in a calm and service-oriented manner. This interaction left us with a very negative final impression of the hotel.

Due to this experience, I will be reducing my TripAdvisor rating from three stars to two stars, and I can also state clearly that we would not choose to stay at your hotel again in the future.

I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will be taken seriously and used to improve guest experience, particularly in terms of staff training and customer interaction.

Loved the theme of this hotel. Rooms are done very well. Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting San Sebastian.

The staff were helpful and friendly. This hotel was very clean and the rooms were lovely with comfortable beds. We liked the onsite cafe. The location was also very good about 15 mins to the bus station and a 20 minute walk to the old town

Second time I stayed here and again, I really liked it. The staff is super friendly, they have a parking garage for €25/day, a beautiful breakfast, Nespresso machines in the rooms and the location is 20mins walking from the Concha beach and 10mins from the center. The film theme is also really nice and you can even take DVDs from the very cosy lounge and watch them in your room. I had a double room for myself and it was quiet and had a little balcony. Only downsides this time were that the water in the shower didn’t get hot, I couldn’t increase the heating either (probably because it was fairly warm outside) and there was no toilet brush. Note that if you book directly with them you get a much better price, a bigger room and a welcome drink!

Friendly welcome after journey. Stayed for five nights. Very spacious room. Extremely clean and excellent housekeeping. Great location for strolling into the city and exploring. Great little grocery shop nearby with late opening hours. Happy to recommend or re-visit.

Given the attractiveness of San Sebastian, prices for most hotels are a little above my range. but the Zinema7 met all of my requirements and did not break the bank. But lets be clear, the rooms are very nice and spacious. I felt this was a hotel I would stay at again.

This is a characterful and wonderful hotel in a great location. You know all that if you’re reading this but if you’ve driven here in your (super)car will it fit in the garage?

Almost certainly. However the spaces available are far fewer than rooms. Parking can be reserved if you book via the hotel website ONLY. If the option to reserve a space is not showing then they are probably full be you need to contact them and check.

The garage is accessed from the quiet street the hotel reception is in. See pictures. You can cross the maybe 10cm kerb maximum at an angle for even the lowest car (GT3 RS?). Our Aston Martin Vanquish S is low clearance and managed the kerb with ease.

The parking is on level - 4 and is accessed down a wide smooth ramp. We did ground out a little in places but it was not prohibitive to access level -4. There are no kerbs at all so wheel damage is almost impossible.

On - 4 there are some big spaces and some less so. No where is impossible to park but bigger, wider cars will need care if the parking is full.

This was one of the better Hotel parking experiences we had in Spain and I would park our Aston Martin here again.

There was, as a side note, a VW T5 camper easily parked up as a height guide.

This was our third time staying at zinema and we were touched that they sent us a little welcome back gift. We’ve spent equal if not more £ at other hotels on multiple stays and they never remember or care to say ‘welcome back!’ So that was a lovely touch. The car park is a great extra that we’ve used every time we’ve stayed. Staff are lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble. Love our stays at zinema 7

Zinema 7 is a good quality clean hotel just out of the city centre (but with an easy bus to Old Town which takes 7 - 10 minutes - stop right outside). Each room is based on a film star or producer, and is suitably quirky. Breakfast is excellent and the bar doubles as a cafeteria used by many locals so prices are reasonable. Would strongly recommend as a base for exploring San Sebastián

The drive down to this area was a culmination of a chance stay in San Sebastián and the idea to indulge ourselves in the city and its culture that being its difference and culture. The food places didn’t disappoint, well we didn’t go wrong . We tried the Instagram places but these were rammed so moved on although went into these in January but it was to busy this time . It’s a walking place so we just parked in an underground carpark close to the hotel and left it for a few days and used our feet .
The hotel does have a car park and it say parking on trip advisor but it has to be reserved. It seems like it’s busy so make sure you reserve a spot with the hotel if it’s required and it does seem like there’s 3xcars to a parking space .
The staff at the hotel were warm , welcoming and polite. Room was a first floor room and a bit noisy but tolerable ( was a commeration on for the sacking of the city , napoleon wars )so may have been this and it was very clean. It’s a mile and half to the town centre, so about 25minute but there’s a few bars coffee stops along the way so not that bad

The hotel was very walkable to the city centre and the old town. However, it is also in front of a bus stop that takes you to the best food spots in town. Christian and Myriam at the front desk were welcoming and amazing. They shared great restaurant recommendations. The rooms are spacious and clean. The cafe downstairs has a great tortilla de patatas and service. Would a 100% stay here again.
