Pros:

El personal es agradable, el hotel muy pintoresco, bien ubicado para vivir la medina. Las zonas comunes muy bonitas y en buen estado de conservación y limpieza a pesar de ser un antiguo palacio de 1820.

Cons:

El cuarto de baño de mi habitación no estaba en condiciones debido a la humedad de la bañera, las cortinas y las paredes con moho. Eso hacia que la habitación oliera a moho. Poca iluminación. Salir y entrar de la bañera era complicado. La limpieza de la habitación y el baño muy deficiente, suerte que nosotros no manchamos mucho. No cambiaban las copas que usábamos. Con el desayuno tuve dificultades. No como gluten y en lugar de los bollos, bizcochos y tortitas que ponían yo pedía fruta y eso era un problema hasta que decidí comprarla yo misma. Siempre me decían que no había y después de discutir, la sacaban. También era difícil desayunar pronto para llegar a tiempo a las excursiones.

Au cœur de la médina ,nous avons passé une nuit très agréable dans ce bel hôtel dont la chambre est bien équipée ( produits de soins, sèche cheveux bouilloire pour thé et café).
Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et ultra copieux.
Personnel très aimable soucieux de notre bien être.

Good, but not sure it’s a 4*.
Pros:

The best part (aside from the authentic architecture that the designers merged beautifully with modern comfort) is definitely the staff: kind, attentive, professional and helpful at all times. The location is good (keep in mind most taxis won’t drop you off or pick you up at the entrance, but 1 to 10 minutes away depending on the car size), our room had everything we needed and was clean, which we appreciated more than I can express, the mattress was comfortable (at least for persons weighing around 60 kg), and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The rooftop restaurant also serves very good food!

Cons:

I travelled with my mother (annual birthday present) and she’s quite fit, but in her early 70s. Because of that I asked for a room with as few stairs as possible when I made the reservation and somehow ended up on the top floor with the private bathroom down a rather narrow staircase (a level below). While they communicated this was subject to availability and I understand that, our room was also right under the kitchen ventilation system on the roof which usually ran up to 10-10:40 pm local time (midnight or later on the time zone back home) and made falling asleep a bit of a challenge. What was utterly unpleasant, though, was the pervasive mold present in the bathroom, especially in the shower area. Under no circumstances should that be present in a 4* establishment, and I was surprised to find a review on Maps from a couple of years before written by someone who had stayed in the same room, so I didn’t bother telling them about it since they were also fully booked. I really hope they do something about that, as it’s easily fixable with a ventilator and proper care - it’s not a nuisance, but a health hazard.

Pros:

I really liked this hotel. It had a very authentic Tunisian local atmosphere, which made the stay feel more special and genuine.

The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay, which I really appreciated.

One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop restaurant. The view over the city was beautiful, especially at sunset, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Beautiful periodic hotel in a perfect location
Pros:

It's a beautiful old building in an amazing location with a wonderful rooftop with views over the city. Breakfast was fab. The staff were amazing. It's just steps away from the souk and major monuments.

Cons:

A bit noisy if you have a room facing the street but it's a vibrant medina so we found it enchanting and to be fair, it was quiet during the middle of the night so we slept well.

Pros:

El hotel tienen un encanto especial y es precioso, tiene una terraza con vistas que es super agradable y las habitaciones son muy cómodas. Destacar el personal, que fue encantador, muy servicial y agradable. La ubicación es excepcional en medio de la Medina. El desayuno el espectacular, recomiendo bajar con hambre :)

Sicuramente ci tornerei!
Pros:

Struttura a un passo dal cuore della Medina, ma vicino ad un parcheggio che la rende facilmente raggiungibile con i bagagli. Personale gentile e accogliente che ci attendeva con bevande fresche o tè alla menta al momento dell’arrivo. Stanze pulite, comode e spaziose. Bagno non ampissimo, ma dotato di tutto il necessario (compresa ottima crema corpo).
Direi che il nostro soggiorno è stato davvero molto bello!

Une parenthèse de calme et de charme!
Pros:

Cet hôtel est vraiment parfait pour visiter la Medina de Tunis et récupérer après une journée de visite grâce au charme, au confort de Dar El Medina. Une parenthèse de calme et de charme avec un personnel très agréable et à vos soins. Et un restaurant et un petit déjeuner de qualité, une très belle surprise!

Good location and nice rooms, but very noisy at night
Pros:

Ottima posizione, molto comoda per visitare la città e raggiungere i principali punti di interesse. Colazione abbondante e di buona qualità. La stanza era ben arredata, moderna e accogliente. Unico aspetto migliorabile il bagno, che non risultava allo stesso livello della camera per finiture e comfort.

Cons:

Avevamo richiesto un taxi alla reception per le 5 del mattino, con prenotazione confermata fino al giorno precedente, ma al momento della partenza non c’era nessuno in reception e nessun taxi ad attenderci. Abbiamo dovuto organizzarci autonomamente, pagando inoltre solo 8 dinari rispetto ai 50 richiesti dall’albergo.
Inoltre, la camera affacciava sulla strada principale: di fronte è presente un bar aperto fino a mezzanotte e ogni sera il rumore proveniente dall’esterno rendeva molto difficile dormire.

Ich hatte eine angenehme Zeit!
Pros:

Das Hotel hat eine top Lage in einer etwas ruhigeren und netteren Ecke der Medina, so würde ich sagen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk. Das war geräumig und ruhig, auch wenn das Haus insgesamt durch die Betonbauweise sehr hellhörig ist. Sämtliche Türschlösser und Türscharniere könnten einmal geölt werden. Es quietscht überall ordentlich und ist schwergängig. Es gab gut heißes Wasser in der Dusche, das war angenehm. Alles wirkte auch recht sicher. Alle Angestellten sind wahnsinnig freundlich. Danke dafür! Das Frühstück war gut, jedoch wird täglich exakt das gleiche serviert (ich war drei Nächte da). Immerhin herrlich: ausreichend Kaffee mit viel Milch. Auch im Restaurant schmeckt es gut. Die Bedienung wirkt allerdings überfordert und nicht besonders aufmerksam. Essen ganz oben auf der Dachterrasse ist schon sehr nett. Nur wenn man dann öfter lange aufs Personal warten muss, relativiert sich das Vergnügen. Gut zu wissen: ein Taxi fährt wegen der engen Gassen eventuell nicht bis vor die Tür. Das Gepäck muss dann ein gutes Stück weit getragen werden.

Cons:

Halb so schlimm: aber Teppiche, Sofapolster, Sofakissen könnten mal erneuert oder richtig gereinigt werden. Sonst nichts negatives.
