Yes enjoyed breakfast, A little expensive though
Coffee could have been included
I enjoyed the fireplace in my room very much. The heritage style decor is lovely. Staff and service were overall very good. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast choices were substantial, service was good, and the views were perfect. Quiet location. Convenient base to explore the Blue Mountains region (by train and bus).
The hotel is showing its age, the floor boards creak, and noises (doors/cupboards opening and closing, other guests, large group functions, wind, etc.) carry through the walls, floors/ceiling, corridors, and windows. A little challenging accessing the location by foot, particularly while carrying luggage.
Excellent views and loved the old world decor. Location was easy walking to town centre. Staff were attentive and made you feel welcome.
One member of staff ran the property down constantly and made us feel uncomfortable.
The hotel has a lovely vibe. They have a bar area with amazing views and piano. It was the middle of winter. They had real fires in the bar area. We had pre-dinner drinks and someone was playing the piano. Absolutely loved it! It was great to come back after dinner and sit by the fire. Our room had a view. The hotel is well positioned to take advantage of the amazing views. The room was spacious. We thought it was pretty good value for money. It is cheaper than the Carrington and has much better views. We will definitely go there again.
Front sitting area has electric fake fires. Not a big deal but that area wasn’t popular when we were there. A real fire or at least a gas fire with flames is much more cosy. The bathrooms could do with an update.
The breakfast was very nice. Have stayed here in the past and it was great coming back again.
The wifi didn’t work and no Netflix
The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had a beautiful view. We really enjoyed the overall character of the hotel.
The breakfast options were quite limited. By around 9:00 am, some items, including the bread, had already run out and were not replenished.
The views and history.
Everything was fine.
Comfortable room - value for money
It was about what was expected
Awesome views, spacious room. Reception moved us to a room with a smart tv in request.
Drive to restaurants and shops unfortunately, no restaurant at hotel open Sunday to Thursday.
Christmas in July, amazing, loved it.
The pillows where too hard. Little things like lamps needed to be fixed.
It’s quaint, comfortable and very accommodating for families. We took our 5yo and 8yo and they were comfortable in their room as we had our own, with a door separating. Although no streaming it was good for the kids to watch live telly and play board games which they offered.
I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast but otherwise all good to sleep and be comfortable in the rooms :)
The buffet breakfast. Just average
