Palazzo Alexander was, without question, my absolute favorite hotel I have ever stayed in.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such genuine kindness and warmth. Out of every hotel, tour, and activity we experienced during our trip to Italy, the staff at Palazzo Alexander were the only ones who truly acknowledged our honeymoon and made us feel celebrated. They took the time to congratulate us, chat with us, and genuinely seemed interested in getting to know us. It never felt forced—it came from the heart.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They were the friendliest people we encountered during our entire trip. They were incredibly helpful with recommendations and anything we needed, but more importantly, they made us feel like welcomed guests instead of just another reservation. When we checked out, they told us to come back and visit anytime—even if we weren't staying at the hotel. They said to stop by just to say hello, and that small gesture perfectly reflected the kind of people they are.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so much character, charm, and authentic Italian style. Our room was gorgeous, with unique details and décor that made it feel special and unlike any other place we stayed. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start each morning.

If you're looking for a hotel that feels authentic, welcoming, and unforgettable, Palazzo Alexander is it. The incredible staff turned a wonderful hotel into one of the most memorable parts of our honeymoon, and we can't wait to return one day.

Everything was perfect

Our stay at Palazzo Alexander was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They didn’t just provide great service—they truly cared about us and wanted to make sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Our room was beautiful, spacious, and impeccably clean. We especially appreciated the extra living area, which was perfect since our one-year-old grandson stayed with us for a few days. Having that additional space made our stay so much more comfortable.

The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. It felt so personal, with wonderful homemade touches and attentive service that made us look forward to starting each day there.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, elegant, and full of charm. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and to make us feel at home.

If you’re visiting Lucca, we wholeheartedly recommend Palazzo Alexander. It’s a special place with exceptional people, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

We loved this hotel for it charm and hospitality! The hosts were warm, friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and well appointed. There was a sit down breakfast included. We would definitely recommend this hotel!!

After our Airbnb cancelled on us on the day of arrival, we frantically hunted for a hotel. Hotel Palazzo Alexander to the rescue. On arrival we were greeted like we were old friends returning home. And that level of hospitality continued. We can't thank the staff enough for saving our stay in Lucca. We WILL be back.
