The Absolute Gold Standard
Pros:

Hyatt Centric is the gold standard for being close to the best Long Beach has to offer. Walking distance to the restaurants, beach, stores and short trip to cruise ships. This place is great. The room was clean, modern and with a view of cruise port. But it's the friendliness and kindness of staff that put this hotel over the top. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They made me remember what great customer service really is - which is rare nowadays. Tremendous thank you to the staff for being a memorable part or our cruise vacation - for all they did before and after the cruise.

Not what you’d expect from Hyatt.
Pros:

Still a great location.

Cons:

Property is tires. Lobby and rooms are mishmash. The lobby used to be an interesting space — now it looks like Ling John Silvers. Sad.

The perfect spot for event convenience and great hospitality!
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store/bar was very cool. The room was clean and nice. Check in was easy. We will definitely be back!

great location -not a 4 star hotel
Pros:

This isn't a 4 star hotel. It's basically a Hyatt Place. The pool area is small, but the rooftop view is cool. They do give out day passes so it gets very crowded on the weekend and you may not get a chair. If you want a cabana/day bed, book it early.
The location is great, but if you're wanting a true 4 star property go to Hyatt Regency down the street.

Not the best experience at a one of my favorite hotels.
Pros:

Unprepared room, poor housekeeping. Not well designed for working in. As a Hyatt Discoverist member I would have expected my room to be inspected and bed made with a blanket not a mattress pad as a sheet. Charging device and lamp not plugged in and unable to reach the socket as behind the bed and the charger is nailed to the bedside table. AC unit was not set up correctly and heat kicked in during the night and loud noises coming from it kept us awake.

Шумный район. Кондиционеры в номере из прошлого века (требуется срочная чистка). Парковки нет. Завтраки - даже не стоит рассматривать их в этом отеле. Кровати маленькие.

Had the front desk staff had better customer service, the overall stay would’ve been better.
Pros:

The location was nice and the hotel was decent. The room was a bit dated and the bathroom had mold around the shower.

Cons:

The front desk staff lacked customer service skills. They charged us 4 times for the stay and we waited all day to be able to check-in due to an error in their end. Would not recommend this location to anyone specifically for this reason.
