Good location for visiting Graz centre and the Merkur Arena
Not enough staff in evening.
Bar very busy due to football match however only one member of staff trying to do several different jobs i.e. on reception, preparing food for room service and serving behind the bar resulting in very long delays in serving customers. We actually gave up waiting in the end.
Roadworks directly outside continued throughout the night with very loud banging at 2 a.m.. Whilst not directly the fault of the hotel this led to a very uncomfortable night and lack of sleep. Don't understand why the roadworks right outside the hotel had to continue overnight and no explanation or warning from hotel staff.
Private balcony on top floor is not private for the room but shared with all adjacent rooms.
Inconvieniently a "check out email" was sent to me by the hotel at 4 a.m. which has potential to disturb anyone sleeping at that time.
More worryingly at approx 12 midnight intruders were able to enter the other room I had booked and my friends were startled to be woken up by what appeared to be a family with a young child in a buggy. It's astonishing that the keycard issued to the other family by reception was able to allow them access to another room.
Reception must have been aware of this mistake but made no attempt to apologise.

The breakfast had a great variety of options to choose from, with something to suit different tastes.
The location itself was not bad, but there was a lot of construction work happening nearby during our stay, which made it quite noisy outside. The breakfast was also quite expensive compared to the value provided.
The cleanliness of the room could be improved as well. The mirror and windows were dirty from the inside, and the curtains had a lot of dust. As a result, the room had a noticeable dusty smell, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.
Air conditioning could be better.
