Very disappointed!
Booked a room with two double beds - got a room with one double bed. We were unable to change rooms as they were fully booked, and rooms were being renovated.
Bath was moldy - complained numerous times - nothing was done.
Conditioner was empty, and had to repeatedly ask for more towels as only one was left for two people.
Water, coffee and tea were not always replenished.
Constant construction noise from 8am renovating below bedrooms. They removed hall carpet towards the club rooms resulting in us having to walk over sticky glue residue to get to our room as this was the only way we could get there.
Food was rubbish.
Room was comfortable, the swimming etc was very good. Breakfast was of a good quality.
The Bar area was very noisy when we came to have a meal. Perhaps a quiet area would help as the food was spoiled by the noise.
We used to stay here when it was a classy De Vere Hotel, it is now more like a poor travel lodge. Families with unruly, unsupervised children running wild.
We were unable to use the pool because of the families who were non-residents at the Hotel made worse by the school holidays.
There is no proper restaurant, just a basic bar area that serves very poor food from a very poor bar menu.
The rooms had no air-conditioning so were extremely hot with only a small 'desk top' fan. We had booked a four day stay, but our room only had 4 coat hangers and two very small drawers so we had to keep our clothes in our suitcases.
This hotel is focused more on the outside membership and walk-in customers than the paying guests.
I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quality relaxing break.
We used the pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Really nice way to relax in the morning before heading out
Rooms too hot in warmer weather - No Aircon available. provide a tiny fan which did not add any benefit.
When the room was booked, we booked a Family room - 1 x double and 2 x single beds. However the Hotel has had a makeover and they no longer do these room types (without notifying us), they only supply 2 x double in the rooms. They failed to tell us this until I queried this after checking in despite me sending a message prior to arrival to ensure we had the correct bed arrangement. The response I got was 'I can pass your message on' which really isn't acceptable when you have a teenage boy and girl both sharing the same bed. Further to this there were only 2 x towels and 2 x cups for hot drinks in the room for 4 to share 🤦♂️
easy check in and lift was excellent with my mobility buggy, check in staff were able to assist when we had an issue with a door card - twice!
Breakfast orange juice was AWFUL!
Appeared that too much water had been added to the concentrate.
Plays music stupidly stupidly loud in the swimming pool area. People complaining to each other that they just want to relax. I left with a headache after a day of work and wanting to relax. Music had to been max volume. Pool staff was a guy with a padel t shirt on, and a skin head. Other was a young, probably south-east Asian girl.
Pretty busy hotel with lots of families with small children. Our room was unbearably hot (no air conditioning) and with no view whatsoever. The pool was crowded with young children and parts of it was closed due to swimming lessons. Below average breakfast buffet. Parking costs extra. The only plus was a great gym and a decent lounge area where you could watch football and golf.
We didn't have breakfast, it was very expensive
The room was very hot
It was extremely clean and high end. The rooms were perfect, the bed was so comfy.
The only issue we had was the fan in the room. Due to the extremely hot weather the room was so hot and the fan was very poor. It was a very uncomfortable sleep. I would suggest better fans for the summer time.
Made a mistake of booking the wrong month 32 days before and wouldn't give a refund. So telling me no one else will book that room in 32 days ok
They make it look better than it is as full of heavy drinkers and very noisy in the evenings.
Unkompliziertes Einchecken, Parkplatz am Haus, Personal freundlich.
Vielleicht bedingt durch die Bauarbeiten - aber es hätte sauberer sein können.
Nothing
Having travelled and stayed in hotels extensively for work and leisure this hotel has to be one of the worst I have stayed in. Having arranged an early check in our room wasn't available, and only after agreeing to take a non air conditioned room was one made available 45 minutes late. Upon going to the room we had to follow a maze of corridors and lifts with limited signage and obvious construction work going on. The walkway to the second lift had no flooring and unsecured safety barriers. Upon entering our room we found the mattress topper was too small for the bed, the room had sticky worktops and no glasses (glass or plastic) for bathroom use. Had we not been staying there to attend my sisters offsite wedding I would have demanded my money back and returned home. When we complained to the staff they showed little interest in addressing our concerns and one week on have still not resolved them.
Very clean and lovely pool
Room was too hot and stuffy, no air con 😓
We are members of the gym and often go into both Starbucks and the sports bar. The atmosphere is always great, family friendly and relaxed. The service is second to none particularly from Olivia and Ruth in the sports bar.
