Very comfortable very modern quiet room and large swimming pool too.
No security on lifts or stairs so anybody could wander around whole building. Car park not well lit so not great for a single woman arriving at night.
The location was ideal. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. A very pleasant modern hotel which was spotless. I would be very happy to return.

Staff in hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.
Bed had a mattress topper which was very uncomfortable. The room had no air on and was quite stuffy even with a fan.
Main issue was with pool. I think this may be run by another leisure company (not sure) but it has members and hotel guests are an extra. The pool is not for swimming due to its odd shape. I was berated for not knowing to swim clockwise despite the signage about this being tiny and in colours that were hard to see and absolutely not obvious.
One lane for proper swimming may be an idea.
It was not pleasant to be told off for trying to actually swim in a pool when the many members swam all over the place as well. I brought this up at reception and the lady was very sympathetic and would speak to the leisure pool, but only use the pool here if you don’t particularly want to swim and just potter.

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was really nice. I loved the fact there is a Starbucks
The meals were very expensive for what the were, portion size and quality. When we arrived there were two coffee pods in the drawer, a torn empty tea bag bag, 1 crumbled up biscuit and nothing else. We reported this to reception who sorted it. No biscuits were left though and we paid for a club room. We asked for a room freshen up as we stayed for two nights, we left the request in the door handle as instructed. They again did not refresh tea and coffee, again no biscuits. Clean cups were not left, one bath towel and one small towel was missing. We reported this at around 15:30 then went into the spa. When we got to the room at 19:30 nothing had been replaced! I went to reception who informed me that housekeeping had all gone home. She gave me tea and coffee and a large towel, no small towels were available. The supervisors at the swimming pool, a man and a lady really need to learn Orion’s skills. Particularly the man, very rude! This is the first spa I have been to and we’ve been to a lot, where I felt constantly scrutinised, it took away from the relaxing experience. The people I met and were talking to all felt the same way! There’s ensuring safety but there also taking it too far!

There was no tea or coffee in the room - we had to try and request some. Unbelievably no direct way of contacting reception at all .. we had to Google the main national “village” website to find a number to ring to put us through to the Notts hotel. Then got no answer, then cut off and had to do it all again. Just to get tea and coffee in the room. No direct contact number provided for reception at all. Also no air conditioning just a very weak fan and unable to open the windows for fresh air. Very disappointing to be honest.
