Pros:

Excellent

Cons:

Had a noise issue at 1:30 am which was quickly addressed by hotel staff. The noise was from the Louis Armstrong Jazz Suite. Super loud tv and we could not sleep.

Bad suggestion, I don't get it!
Pros:

Terrible on every level except location. Bad staffing, dusty room. Slow elevators, one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

Beautiful hotel with friendly and extrordinarily helpful team members.
Pros:

My wife and I just returned from New Orleans and The Hotel Roosevelt made the trip a great experience. From Tyra at the front desk to Jake in The Fountain Restaurant we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and I would agree with others who have said the rooms are spacious. The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent, everyone made you feel welcome. The hotel was very clean.

The one evening we stopped by Dominica which is not operated by the hotel but is located in space there was not good. Very much different than the hotel and hotel operated restaurant experience, cleanliness was not great and the staff member we met was simply rude. We left without ordering.

That aside, we cannot say enough positive about our experience at The Roosevelt.

Natasha was Great.
Pros:

Natasha at The Roosevelt New Orleans was absolutely exceptional. She is the kind of person who makes guests want to stay longer and come back again. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. She made sure every need was met and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. Her level of customer service exceeded all expectations, and her warm personality truly stood out. The Roosevelt is fortunate to have someone like Natasha representing their hotel. She made our stay unforgettable.

Loud banging ac
Pros:

Landmark hotel

Cons:

AC was awful. Loud bang as it started and stopped. Couldn’t sleep all night. Front desk told us we just had bad luck with the room they gave us . Said lots of the rooms are like that. No compensation was made for us.

Simply the Best
Pros:

The Roosevelt is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The property is fantastic, the facilities are top notch, but it's the staff that really sets it apart-they always go above and beyond.

The hotel is special to me and my wife, and we always stay with them when we are in town! This last trip was celebrating our anniversary. I spoke with Travis Paisant, the front office director, and he went out of his way to make our stay incredible! We simply cannot wait to visit again!

The Best Place To Stay In New Orleans
Pros:

The Roosevelt is the only place we stay when we're in New Orleans. The location is centralized to the city, and puts us within walking distance of our favorite shops and restaurants.

It is a beautiful older hotel, and it has been maintained extremely well.

While veryone we have ever interacted with has always been helpful, knowledgeable, and kind, there is one person in particular who stands out above the rest, a bellman named Ernie. Ernie has helped us with our bags and other things on multiple occasions, and has always made us feel at "home". He is not pretentious, but instead makes us feel like The Roosevelt is HIS home, and we are welcome there. As always, this last stay was just amazing, and what put it over the top was Ernie. Thank you Ernie for being so helpful and kind. We will see you next time.

Did not quite live up to expectations
Pros:

I travel for a living and have top tier status in all of the major hotel chains since I spend about 16 nights a month in hotels.

This past weekend I recently stayed here for the first time, with my wife, for her birthday trip to NOLA.

The positives… It’s a great location, very convenient for getting to the usual tourist places. The
lobby is beautiful and they did upgrade us to a suite. The room was nice and clean, quiet, comfortable, and housekeeping was responsive when we asked for more towels. The staff at the Teddy Cafe provided great service and were very friendly.

Now the negatives, and there are quite a few more than expected for a hotel of this level.

First thing is that I had a small package sent to arrive the day before we did, and they charged me a $5 handling fee which is absurd (I don’t care about the money, it’s the principle). And they wouldn’t bring it to me or hold it at the desk, they made me come to the 2nd floor built-in UPS store to pick it up where they told me they would charge me the handing fee after the fact. If you’re going to charge me a handling fee at least deliver it to my room.

Also the front desk staff gave me grief about having a pizza delivered one evening during our stay. They didn’t make sense so I’m not sure what they were trying to convey but they seemed miffed that we were getting food delivery to the front desk after hours.

As far as the room goes, the bathroom was tiny and so small that 2 people couldn’t fit in it at once. It was very nice but just too small. Would have rather had less space in the bedroom so that the bathroom was more useable. Also the house keeping was only every other day, and again, with two people, the miniscule trash cans filled up fast.

Some of the mini-bar items were literally 4x the cost of what one could find outside the hotel and the daily F&B credit cant be used for mini-bar items. The credits also cant be used at the Italian restaurant in the lobby, or for room service. And they don’t accumulate, they must be spent per day.

The north end of the lobby smelled like sewage most of the time and the lobby itself needs more seating for those waiting on their ride or valet.

I appreciate having an automatic concierge service but sometimes they would take hours to respond to e-mails. Since it was my wife’s birthday they also promised a bottle of champagne in the room but yet it never arrived. I didn’t expect it, but don’t promise and something and then not deliver.

The food in Fountain Lounge downstairs was bland, the portions were tiny, and incredibly overpriced. The gift shop / concession store did not have enough food/drink selection in the lobby and was also not open 24 hours. So one couldn’t get a snack at any time unlike most Hilton properties. The website says brunch is available until 1pm but we were told otherwise by the host which was disappointing.

Overall if I had paid full price for this hotel I would have been very upset at what I had gotten in return, but fortunately this was a points and free night redemption. Since it was free yes I would stay there again, but I would not pay full price to stay at this hotel when there are others that are almost as good for a lot less.

Also, just FYI, the Roosevelt Hotel Bar on ground level next door to the hotel isn't associated with the hotel despite signage depicting otherwise.
