Overall, everything went well with the hotel, and I truly appreciate the assistance provided by the hotel staff. However, there was an issue with the reservation I made through Booking.com.
While traveling from Guam to New Orleans, I experienced flight delays and was unable to arrive on July 10 as originally scheduled. Prior to leaving Guam, I attempted to contact the Booking.com representative to request that my reservation dates be changed from July 10 to July 11–18. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
Upon arriving in New Orleans, I was informed by the hotel that my Booking.com reservation had been canceled, and I did not have a room. Thankfully, the hotel staff member was extremely helpful and did everything she could to assist me. As a result, I was able to make a new reservation directly with the hotel.
I appreciate the hotel staff’s excellent assistance and customer service. My concern is with the Booking.com reservation and the lack of response to my request to change the dates. I hope I was not charged for the canceled reservation, and I will be verifying my account to ensure that no charges were made.
no response from booking.com regarding my request to change dates and wish I was informed that my reservation was cancelled since I did not arrive on July 10 and arrived July 11.
Very clean, good location. Very nice staff
All good
I was a guest at the hotel for a wedding. I received incredible service from the valet team there. Specifically, Randy and Tyron were true “GENTLE-MEN”, as they welcomed us with genuine kindness and care! Tyron deserves special recognition. When I needed assistance with a handicap issue, he stepped up with genuine, compassion, patience, and kindness. He didn’t just do his job. He sure we were taken care of, treating us with dignity and respect.
Thank you, valet team at The Roosevelt for everything!!!
The staff were pleasant and professional. Went out of their way to accommodate my every need. Facilities and room were immaculate; very impressive
I looked at a can of soda in the mini bar and put it back; I was charged as if I drank it.
The Roosevelt New Orleans is a beautiful, historical hotel that fits well with the Waldorf Astoria name. Despite being old, the hotel is very clean and impressive, and the staff works hard to make the stay hospitable. I was also very happy to see them providing 2 bottles of water per night (I'm Diamond for reference so not sure of the criteria), which really helped considering the constant 90+ degree weather (also I'm a kidney donor so dehydration is a huge concern and danger to me when I'm traveling).
I was impressed by the hotel's restaurant called the Fountain Lounge. While I didn't see a fountain, I enjoyed eating here daily, whether it was for breakfast, lunch, Happy Hour, or dinner. While hotel restaurant these days seem to have a bad rep for being both overpriced and boring, the dishes here were both a delight and competitive compared to a lot of quality sit-down restaurants nearby. It was good to see, as Waldorf Astoria was the brand that made eating out fashionable in the first place back before any of us were born.
To set expectations, I don't expect perfection in this day and age as long as the basics are done right, and I even ran across some issues. But the staff were very willing to reasonably fix things so I can leave with a good experience, such as the front desk staff that fixed a check-in/credit issue, and a big shout-out to Ari, the F&B Manager who made my day on an unusually unlucky day for me.
Next time I return, I do want to try more of their cocktails as they had many interesting ones. Sadly I started getting a fit of allergies, which may be related to the shampoo. They use Aesop products, which are high quality, but personally I find the fragrance strong and the shampoo seem to have some tree oil that makes my nose very unhappy. I may have to remember to bring my own shampoo next time, which is really unfortunately, but is no fault of the hotel.
They do have valet parking, but sadly no EV charging. There are also many parking garages nearby for an extended stay if you don't mind carrying all your bags to and from the hotel.
The location is good as well, as it sits right on the border of the French Quarter near Canal St, meaning you'll probably be able to get better sleep than being right in it, but it's also right next to public transit and a very short walk away from Bourbon St.
All in all, highly recommend The Roosevelt!
My wife and I stayed at the location. To celebrate an anniversary. We had the pleasure to speak and meet with Jasmine Tyren , concierge Team,
Mercy welcomed us and assisted with check in.
Jasmine and Tyren provided us with incredible welcome upon arrival.
Tyren and Jasmine completely went above and beyond to make me feel at home and provider outstanding service and celebratory accommodations.
We had the pleasure to meet Ashante and Chad at the fountain lounge. They were fantastic, preparing absolutely delicious drinks with great skill.Eddie was incredibly pleasant and took the time to beautifully explain the food menu. The chefs and kitchen staff prepared impeccable food that exceeded expectations. From the drinks to the final bite, every staff member in the lounge contributed to a perfect experience. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to excellent service which made our stay unforgettable.
What a beautiful and wonderful hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and service outstanding. Rooms were large and well kept with visits from housekeeping during the day and in the evening. Large pool area and bar. Great position for walking everywhere. Fantastic value. My wife and I loved the five days we spent there. Would we go back? A resounding "yes" and we will be travelling back from Dorset, England!
No complain
WOW! Fantastic experience at The Waldorf Astoria New Orleans! We stayed in a lovely 2 queen suite. Very open living area with bathroom. Bedroom area included a large closet and bathroom. Shower was on point!!! The pool was fabulous! The team members in the bar/restaurant were so welcoming and hospitable!!! The best of the best who deserve recognition are Jada, T, Terronia and Duc. Just fabulous Waldorf Astoria service mixed with New Orleans love!
The reception line to check in is absolutely horrible. I have no idea why it takes them so long to check people in. I’ve already been waiting 45 minutes and I’m still waiting. They desperately need to do something here. Poor customer service, especially when you are arriving at the hotel after a long flight and just wanna check in.
Our stay at The Roosevelt was great from beginning to end! Joshua at the front desk was the best. He talked us through our itinerary and even suggested a few local restaurants to try and they were great. 'B' who was the pool attendant was very nice and gave us a treat for our anniversary. Those two are the reason we will be back.
It was elegant
Excellent
Had a noise issue at 1:30 am which was quickly addressed by hotel staff. The noise was from the Louis Armstrong Jazz Suite. Super loud tv and we could not sleep.
I’m celebrating my 21st birthday at The Roosevelt, and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience!!
I have to give a huge thank you to Shalayia and Garyelle at the Fountain Lounge!! They made me and my family feel so welcome and celebrated the entire time we were there. Their kindness felt so genuine, and they truly went out of their way to make my birthday special!!
Shalayia completely surprised us with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for my 21st birthday on our first morning here, which was such an incredibly thoughtful and generous gesture!! I was honestly shocked. It made me feel more celebrated for the start of our weekend,,
Garyelle was just as amazing and surprised me with a slice of red velvet birthday cake. It was such a sweet touch and she was so friendly and attentive!!!,,
The two girls at the Teddy Cafe we also super sweet and funny!! I just forgot to get their names :( !!
Courtney and Matt at The Sazerac was also super kind to us all weekend!!
I also want to thank Wendy at the front desk. She was so kind, welcoming, and helpful to my family and me. She made us feel at home and added to what has been such an amazing birthday trip.
Can’t forget Tavin Francis the Security Manager!! He is so funny and generous to our family during our stay!! We loved the mini beignets before our departure !
All of their kindness and hospitality meant more than they probably know, and my family and I will be talking about this trip for a long time. They all deserve raises‼️‼️‼️ Thank you all for making my 21st birthday so special ☺️🫶🫶🫶🫶
