We absolutely love this hotel! The proximity to the shopping area, Teatro Greco Romano and the other sites is so convenient for any visitor to Taormina.
The hotel is maintained immaculately, rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
Last evening we dined at Zafiero, their rooftop restaurant. A spectacular sunset and an orange moon were accompanied by a scrumptious salad prepared by Chef Giuseppe along with a delicious pasta dish, called la linguina which is a must try if you enjoy seafood. My husband and son enjoyed the zuppa di verdura and two different fish entrees which were prepared to perfection. Chef Giuseppe combined the best flavors of Sicily for these dishes which are not to be missed. We met him and he was so gracious!
Importantly, I must absolutely thank Monica and Stefano who are so very kind, welcoming and treated us so very well which only made our evening dinner so special! If we have a chance to visit Taormina, we will absolutely stay here. Lastly Danielle at the pool was so welcoming and helpful, along with the front desk.

A bit overpriced
Our stay at the NH Collection Taormina exceeded any and all expectations. This is a beautiful resort that delivers on the highest level across the board -- attentive, personal service from a wonderful general manager (Amedeo Zaffino, who took time to greet us personally and welcome us) and staff (Giovanni, Gabriel and Emmanuela, all of whom went over and beyond to help however possible), an over-the-top breakfast buffet with made-to-order items offered as well, a to-die-for infinity pool that overlooks the Ionian Sea, and cozy, stylish rooms guaranteed to provide a good night's sleep. The location is perfect. It offers incredible views since it's perched high on the hillside above the sea, and is a short jaunt to Corso Humberto, the long pedestrian street lined with chic boutiques, designer shops and pottery stores and a host of wonderful restaurant options. The NH Collection is also a very short walk to the Roman Amphitheater and the Public Gardens - both must-sees when in Taormina.

Both the location and the facilities were very good
The NH Collection hotel in Taormina was outstanding. We stayed 4 nights in May, and we loved everything about the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A big thanks to Valeria, Alessandra, Clarissa, Lorenzo and Angelo, along with those who worked the wonderful breakfast. The location was great. We were able to easily walk to anywhere in Taormina, including the trail that leads up to Castelmola. Highly recommend the hotel for a stay in Taormina.
We were fortunate enough to stay here for 4 nights in May 2026. What a beautiful hotel and the staff were outstanding! Our travel agent moved us here from another area hotel, and imagine our surprise when we got to check in and Valeria tells us we’ve been upgraded - to the Presidential suite! It was like wining the lottery! Our friends got a Junior Suite and were also thrilled with their room and facilities. We loved all of the touches in the lobby areas - fresh flowers, candy, snacks and water, always available. The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our three weeks in Italy - better than all the other hotels! Custom made omelets, pancakes, French toast, pastries and cakes, fruits, coffee to order - it was truly a wonderful feast every morning! I also used the workout room in the spa for lifting weights. I had to search for the lighter weights, but they are tucked in under the workout bench. Very nice, private and quiet facility. Overall, Taormina was our favorite city and this hotel was definitely our favorite hotel during our three weeks visit throughout Italy. We highly recommend staying here!
The hotel is in a great setting at the higher level of Taormina so the views are spectacular. The hotel itself is immaculate - really clean and fresh, exemplified by the superb spa and gym.
All the staff can't do enough to help - they work as a team to make our stay so pleasurable.
As a great example of that team we will highlight Giovanni on reception. He couldn't do enough to help - he recommended and booked a first class Godfather tour, he recommended and booked two excellent restaurants - and even printed a map of Cafania for our day trip there.
