Hidden gem, beautiful area, perfect for exploring central Athens, would 100% stay again.
Pros:

The location is amazing. Whilst several areas of Athens are not that nice or few unsafe, this area (Plakka) and the central location with tavernas, a bakery, a mini supermarket and little shops all just a short walk away is quiet yet with enough life nearby for all your needs. Restaurants and shops, tourist and local needs (pharmacy, coffee shops, smoothie bar) all close by. Five minutes more and you are at Hadrian’s Arch, ten minute walk and you are at Syntagma Square. It was perfect. The hotel is fairly small (18 rooms) so they look after you and know who you are. Cold water, beer, and Coca Cola available in the lobby. 24 hour check in and receptionist. Lovely family run hotel.
Staff happy to provide information from maps to recommended restaurants to times of day that it was best to visit different monuments. Good breakfast of yogurt, tinned peaches, types of bread, honey, marmalade, hard boiled eggs (cold), cheese and meat.

Cons:

Nothing really. Staff said they would provide hot water for making cups of tea / coffee if requested but no kettle in room but as it was hot this didn’t matter, and the breakfasts provided tea and coffee anyway. There isn’t parking but I didn’t want to drive in the centre of Athens anyway.
