The gym was new and clean.
The front desk was always busy you had to wait for at least 15 minutes for a simple request. They don’t pick up your calls either. Nobody came to clean our room during our entire 8 nights of stay!! We prepared tips and nobody came to clean!! We had to ask the front desk for clean towels and toilet papers (and had to go downstairs to collect them by ourselves). The breakfast was always short when it was busy hours… the milk was always out and they don’t bring refills…… Do not recommend.
The staff was amazing!
Nothing
The Hotel
Location was good.
Understaffed and rude. Originally booked a room with 2 queen beds but had to swap to 2 rooms with a king (supposed to be same price but was charged). Then arrived at 3 which is check in time and room wasn’t ready until 5. The next morning, checkout was at 12 and the maids knocked on your door every 30 minutes until you left and even said once “yall need to leave”. Mind you, same maids that didn’t have our room ready until 2 hours after checkin time the day before.

STAY FAR AWAY! Weekend from HELL!! Warning-LONG POST!!
This is the second time we stayed here. We are no stranger to this hotel. The first time we stayed a shooting at the bowling alley was occurring across the street and our digital key stopped working and we could not get into the building. Frantic trying to get in I overlooked the fact that they had given our room away. We took whatever we could get because our child was in the hospital up there and needed a place to rest. They weren't sincere but the hotel did the job and it was nice even though this area is not a safe area. I NOW KNOW THIS.
Fast Forward to this weekend. My children had an event to attend in Springfield, IL. We thought we would cut our 5 hour drive to that in half and stay at this hotel. We knew the kids liked the hot tub, pool, gym and the mall. I booked our hotel on May 31 for this weekend (June 12-14). Plenty of time to make sure we had the room we wanted. There were 6 of us traveling. 4 of the 6 were teen boys. I booked through the Hilton website as an honors member. We paid up front $446 guaranteed rate non refundable. I went on my way not realizing that after it cleared a week later on my bank that they charged us for $492.
I get notification on Thursday that we can check in and select our room. I selected room 818 which was for a queen 2 bed suite. I received my digital key and all was well. Friday I wake up to a notification that my digital key was revoked and that I needed to call the office. Well I called the hotel to find out that they had given my room away and did not have any rooms for us.
After going back and forth with the front desk, I said just refund my money and we will get a hotel in Springfield. Well she said she would have to talk with her GM. Approximately 30 minutes later she calls back and says, "No worries, we have 818 available and will see you tonight!"
So we head to St Louis a 3.5 hour drive. We arrive at 10:00 pm. I can't get into the building and I told the man at the desk that my digital key was not working and I was there to check in. He stated that they did not have room 818 for us and that unfortunately they didn't have a room at all for us. I proceeded to get super heated at this point because the lady told us that we would have our room that morning before leaving in the afternoon.
He then stated he could not refund us or walk us to another hotel. I said so what are we supposed to do. He suggested a small king bed room that they had available that would sleep 4 people. I said I have 6 people and that is not going to work. I again stated give us our money back or comp us two rooms.
He then talked to his manager and comped us a room. He made us pay $183 in incidentals which we found out when we checked out was to pay for dogs which we did not even have with us.
We get to the rooms and one room has been broken into and the door doesn't lock. Holes were all punched in the walls/interior doors.
Our room was nice. My teen boys were on separate floors from us so we had to separate to monitor rooms which was ridiculous.
The hot tub was broken and the pool was freezing. The gym was not working either.
At breakfast they barely put out any food and let the coffee run out. People were literally fighting over food like savages because there wasn't enough food to accommodate the guests staying there.
Upon checking out we realized they had charged us for the dog in which they stated they would not give us our money back even though we had proof our animals were at doggy daycare.
They over charged me for the reservation and won't give us the accurate amount that we paid for. They won't take accountability for overbooking and bumping Hilton Honor members from their reserved rooms online and the cherry on top... we went out to our cars where NOW you have to pay $10 a night parking for "security" to monitor your cars in their paid for parking lot. To find a busted up glass vodka bottle thrown at our cars and under our tires.
This place is poorly ran. This is two times they have done this to us. Ask the locals about this area and you will find out this area is like putting lipstick on a pig.
Stay away if you value your time and money
Room Toilet was clogged upon arrival.
Phone in room doesn’t work so had to go down to front desk personally to report it.
Maintenance was prompt attending to it. Thanks for that.
However it continued to clog during the week-long stay. Other parties in our workgroup experienced the same.
Breakfast was not restocked. When inquiring at front desk we were directed to inform kitchen staff. There was no kitchen staff present. So returned to front desk. No results.
Coffee, potatoes, eggs never replenished while we were in breakfast area.
Human urine and feces in elevator one morning.
Internet kept going out.
Traffic noise unbearable in rooms.
As a suite with full size refrigerator and appliances, one would expect certain tools stocked for use….ice cube trays, plates/bowls, flatwear. But there was nothing available in-room.
No ironing board. Requested one from front desk staff and never received.
Hallways dirty and not vacuumed during the course of my 7-night stay. Dirty used rags left in hallway. Overflowing garbage in hallways.
Room upholstered furniture was visibly soiled. No way was I sitting on that!
I spilled on the room floor and couldn’t believe how filthy the floor was as I cleaned up after myself.
Coworker’s room garbage was full when we checked in.
This establishment does not live up to the Hilton name.
Easy to navigate, clean, and welcoming staff!
The hot tub was closed and the pool was a bit of a mess with the hoses and cleaning for the hot tub.
Kids everywhere and can be heard through paper thin walls. Fire alarm went off and staff just stated it did, but gave no instructions
Room wasn’t clean
I love the room spaces and that we had two viewings of the city
The microwave was not stable. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper. In the fact that I got put in a room down the hallway felt like I got forgot about,
Location
Not very clean. Breakfast offers remained empty.
Popped in for a quick business trip. Was very conveniently located, rooms were clean, coffee in the morning was hot. All I needed at a reasonable price. I'll return again.
