Pros:

Abbiamo soggiornato al Cavalieri Hotel di Corfù Town e ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene!

La posizione è sicuramente uno dei punti di forza dell’hotel: è centralissimo, proprio affacciato su Piazza Spianada, e permette di raggiungere comodamente a piedi le principali attrazioni e di godersi la città senza bisogno di spostarsi in auto.

L’hotel ha un fascino particolare e conserva un’atmosfera d’altri tempi. Gli arredi e alcuni ambienti possono sembrare un po’ datati e forse avrebbero bisogno di essere rivisti, ma crediamo che questo aspetto sia in parte voluto e contribuisca a mantenere quella sensazione di “tempo addietro” che rende la struttura caratteristica. Anche l’ascensore con la sua bellissima porta d’epoca è un dettaglio davvero particolare e affascinante.

La nostra camera era un po’ piccola e non aveva il balcone, ma sola una finestra. Per un soggiorno di un paio di notti è andata più che bene e non ha rappresentato un problema.

Il personale è stato sempre gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche la possibilità di lasciare le valigie in hotel per un paio d’ore dopo il check-out, così da poter approfittare del tempo a disposizione e fare ancora un ultimo giro per la città.

La colazione era abbastanza varia, con proposte sia dolci che salate. Abbiamo chiesto del latte senza lattosio e ci hanno gentilmente offerto del latte di soia, dimostrando ancora una volta attenzione alle nostre esigenze.

Nel complesso è stata un’esperienza molto positiva. Consigliamo sicuramente il Cavalieri Hotel a chi vuole soggiornare nel cuore di Corfù Town, in una posizione comoda per esplorare la città a piedi, con un’atmosfera particolare e un personale attento e disponibile.

The smell of cigarettes and smoke everywhere, ingrained in the carpets, curtains, everywhere, old used furniture. Smoking might not be allowed but everybody, from customers to staff, manages to get away with it.

A historic hotel with beautiful views and a great location for exploring the Old Town
Pros:

We knew from the start that this was a historic hotel and mainly chose it as a place to stay overnight before heading to the port. It’s located in a beautiful area, with a stunning view from the window, and is very convenient for exploring the entire Old Town.
