Ubicacion, habitaciones amplias pero un tanto antiguas.
1) Que no se pueda cargar los gastos de restaurant a nuestra cuenta y funcione como un espacio independiente.
2) La grifería de la pileta del baño NO salia practicamente agua.
3) La atención al público dejó mucho que desear.
4) Que la encargada del restaurante no hable el ucraniano y su trato se pareaca mas al jefe de un cuartel militar que una persona que brinda servicios, tanto al público como a sus subordinados.
5) No es un hotel de 4 estrellas.
I last came here 30 years ago and it really has not changed very much despite obviously having a lot of investment.

Room for improvement:
Bathroom out dated with poorly fitting bath plug and no fitted shower
Only tepid water available making washing an urgent activity.
Elevators a long wait in the mornings
Check in staff made me feel that everything was too much effort
A taxi that I arranged through the concierge charged me double the agreed price to drop off wait and return to hotel. Payment was up front and they never came back to pick me up! €20 for a 2km ride!
Restaurant was poor with cold, tasteless food
Breakfast had no seating and staff would not clear a table for me saying that they were too busy so I had to share with some poor other guest that clearly did not want me eating at their table.
At 11:00 pm the prostitutes came out and sat strategically around the bar and foyer which I don’t mind as everybody needs to earn a living but this was obviously being controlled by the hotel security guard located at the elevator entrance. It creates a bad atmosphere when you feel that you are being continuously watched and managed by a pimp. Just let the girls do their thing without this mafia style control or stop it all together.
I will not come back.

Great shelter
Furniture are a little bit old
Location is superb, overlooking Independence Square, right next to Khreshchatyk and Globus mall. We rented a business suite, which was excellent, spacious, and clean. Breakfast was good, staff was helpful, and the price was extremely reasonable.
5 stars overall.
Air raid alarms... outside of the hotel's control though.
