A huge, beautiful, and very unusual hotel, now a bit neglected
Pros:

I think it was once a high-end hotel. It has a unique architecture, a huge size, rich interiors, and a luxurious courtyard with a swimming pool. The room has a balcony and beautiful furniture, but everything is old. As I understand it, we were lucky with our room: everything was in good condition and clean, and the internet was working. I heard from the reception that this was not the case for everyone. I recommend checking your room before making a payment, which is what we did. The beach is just across the street, next to the pier with ships to the islands.

Cons:

The hotel needs renovation, although the price would probably go up a lot in that case and we would not stay here. Part of the staff does not understand you very well.
The beach near the hotel is not very suitable for swimming, the sea is too shallow. You have to go to the islands or visit the neighboring beach 20 minutes away.

Wunderschönes Haus aber seit Jahren auf absteigendem Ast...

Das Frühstück ist SEHR günstig und dementsprechend auch die Qualität! Der Renovierungsstau wird immer krasser: nach dem Fehlen des Geländers, um den eigentlich sehr schönen Pool zu verlassen, wurden auch die Stufen im Pool rückgebaut... Es ist und bleibt aber sehr malerisch, auch wenn das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis langsam randwärtig wird.

Cons:

Das im Haus angebotene Frühstück ist und bleibt eine Katastrophe! Und daß die wundervolle Poolbar seit Jahren nicht mehr genutzt wird, ist eine Schande.

Unfulfilled potential
Pros:

I think the hotel has a really good location and looks realy cool - authentic and very interesting!
The rooms were really large.

Cons:

The potential of the hotel seems untapped to me. I think they should take better care of it, i.e. repair, renovate and clean the rooms and the entire area too better.
I also paid a quite different amount than what Booking showed me
and I was also surprised that I had to cash out several rooms for several nights - so it was not a small amount - on the table :D and there was no other way to pay (card or online).
So people had to wait on the reception while I ran into town to a cash-maschine, what of course also cost me additional fees.

Die Lage war aber super und das Zimmer war auch schön

Schönes Zimmer und sehr gute Lage

Cons:

Wenn man rein kommt, denkt man dass das Hotel nicht offen ist, alle Lichter aus und keine Ventilatoren an gewesen bei der Hitze und das Personal war nicht so nett und überfordert

Pros:

I liked the location and size of the room.

Cons:

Room wasn't clean enough, there were so many spiderwebs and other mess. Staff didn't speak English very well.

Trust me, stay away... Images from the hotel is nothing like the real thing

I ensured to wait with the review, to when I am calm again. So this is the honest review.
This is not neither 4/5 star hotel, this is a bad 2 star hotel.
Every time we passed the reception someone was standing at the front desk complaining... The staff and manager didn't care about any of it. Even one time they were yelling at each other, talking about calling the police. We tried to get a refund after the first night.
I could make a long list of bad things, but above text says everything. The worst thing was the extremely hard bed with springs going into your back. It seems like absolutely nothing has been maintain for 20+ years.

Not the value for money.
Pros:

The hotel is situated for it’s good location. Its structure and rooms are good.

Cons:

Service is not good.We stayed 3 night and the wifi is not working,told the staff but they just written the problem not solved it.Bedsheets were not properly clean.

Pros:

The pool was refreshing and the breakfast was good. The whole staff was great. I loved the work the ladies did.
