Hotel Astoria Sorrento

My husband and I loved our stay in this hotel and would highly recommend if you like to be in the centre of everything, the staff were all extremely friendly especially francesco who made the best cocktails and was super friendly. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice we also liked the sun terrace with plunge pool it was ideal after a day exploring. We would definitely return to this hotel 😃

Spent four nights here for my Son's wedding. This hotel was fantastic ! Location is superb, right at the centre of everything, but hidden away enough to be peaceful. The hotel itself is beautiful, a lovely little garden bar filled with lemon and orange trees, beautiful murals on the walls and shaded tables. The restaurant is classy and the food is good. Breakfast is buffet style with a LOT of choices. There is a sun terrace and a plunge pool both of which were being well used by guests. The rooms are comfortable with lots of storage and great A/C. All rooms have a balcony (or terrace on the lower floor).Staff were excellent, polite and attentive without being overbearing and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Loved my stay, and hope to come back some day

We loved this hotel. It was right in the middle of things and the staff were so friendly and welcoming with a special mention to Francesco who made the best cocktails. Our room was spotless and overlooked the garden terrace. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We liked it so much we are returning in September!

La 1re chambre était plein de placards et semblait petite (20 m2) on a été surclassés dans une chambre immense pour trois personnes.Tout etait parfait. L'accueil était excellent. C'est un vrai 4 étoiles. Propre.Équipements à la hauteur d'un quatre étoiles. Excellent petit déj. Très bien placé. Calme

The owners have not reinvested in the building, this much is clear. The curtains in the room were hanging off the rails. Breakfast was very poor - the acid test is the Orange Juice (terrible). Final minor point, the TV configuration in the room proved impossible to access (the advertised) English language channels.

In the heart of Sorrento. We couldn’t have asked for a better location!

Spent one week at this well kept hotel right in the heart of Sorrento. Room was reasonable for a city centre hotel and had a view over the small square and restaurant.
Breakfast choice was adequate for us.
Staff all very friendly.

Quirky layout means those with disabilities need to ensure they ask for a suitable room.

We had a great stay at Astoria Sorrento. The staff was amazing — a special thanks to Raquele, who welcomed us warmly and kindly allowed us to check in earlier, which we really appreciated.

The location is perfect, very close to the bus stop, making it super easy to go down to the marina and come back up. It’s also a great base to explore the region — we visited Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi, and Positano. Although we also stayed in Naples, for someone visiting for the first time, I would definitely recommend staying in Sorrento as a base. It offers by far the best balance between price, location, and overall experience.

Breakfast was great, and having eggs included was definitely a plus for us. The terrace is fantastic — a really nice space to relax.

Overall, a very good stay and highly recommended!

Tuvimos una muy buena estadía en Astoria Sorrento. El staff fue increíble — en especial Raquele, quien nos recibió muy amablemente y tuvo el detalle de darnos la habitación antes de la hora de check-in, lo cual agradecimos mucho.

La ubicación es perfecta, muy cerca de la parada de bus, lo que facilita muchísimo bajar al puerto y volver a subir. Además, es un excelente punto base para recorrer la zona — visitamos Nápoles, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi y Positano. Aunque también nos quedamos en Nápoles, para alguien que visita por primera vez recomendaría definitivamente quedarse en Sorrento como base, ya que ofrece el mejor balance entre precio, ubicación y experiencia.

El desayuno estuvo muy bien, y que incluyera huevos fue un plus importante para nosotros. La terraza es fantástica, un espacio muy agradable para disfrutar.

En general, una muy buena experiencia y totalmente recomendado.

A fabulous hotel on a tiny alleyway, but don’t let that fool you, the hotel has many rooms which offer many different views of the town. Our room was overlooking the square with a balcony and seats. The room was clean, the facilities were as expected - tea, coffee, toiletries, a hairdryer and TV.

Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The hotel staff cater to your every day need and couldn’t be more helpful with suggestions of places to go, offering help with bags, printing at the the reception and showing us the garden terrace with the biggest lemons growing we’ve ever seen. The garden terrace is a lovely spot for an early evening drink after exploring.

Excellent location for everything in the town.
The hotel is clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel is far bigger than it looks and the garden bar area is lovely.
