I have stayed at IBIS Bahnhof several times. It is a good value for the money. It is close to the main Bahnhof in Basel. Ibis also provides a free transportation card as well as discounts to local arts & some entertainment. I will stay here again.
Although the hotel lies at the intersection of two busy streets, the hotel is very quiet.
They have a great friendly staff.

Great situation tram stop outside the hotel very frequent one stop to railway station further two to city centre
You get a free Basel card with your booking free public transport and discounts on museums
Area immediately around hotel some lovely cafes and restaurants cheaper than centre ones
We had room with small balcony worth it
With doors closed very quiet good air conditioning hot powerful shower
Didn’t use hotel for breakfast we don’t tend to eat much and cheap cafes serving just coffee and croissant nearby better for us
Buffet at hotel looked large but was 19 Swiss Franks each
