I booked the room with the understanding that payment would be made upon arrival, and I received a confirmation of my reservation.

However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled because there was no Visa card available to charge. I explained that there should have been no need to charge my card in advance, since my booking clearly stated that payment was to be made upon arrival.

Furthermore, I was never notified in any way that my reservation had been cancelled before I arrived at the hotel.

Overall, this was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. The way the hotel handled the situation was inappropriate and caused unnecessary inconvenience.
