Wonderful stay in a unique venue!
Pros:

If you are able to, the Parador is an absolute must to stay in Santiago. The location, the staff and the facilities are second to none. It was our second stay and hope to return in the future.

Ci sono hotel bellissimi e poi ci sono luoghi capaci di diventare parte del viaggio. Il Parador de Santiago appartiene alla seconda categoria.

Ho soggiornato qui la notte in cui ho concluso il Cammino di Santiago e credo sia difficile immaginare un luogo più emozionante dove terminare questa esperienza.

La posizione è semplicemente straordinaria: si è direttamente sulla Praza do Obradoiro, davanti alla Cattedrale. La mia camera aveva una finestra affacciata sulla piazza e poter osservare da lì la Cattedrale, dopo averla raggiunta a piedi poche ore prima, è stato un momento che difficilmente dimenticherò.

Ma ciò che rende questo Parador davvero unico è la sua storia. Non si ha la sensazione di soggiornare in un hotel che occupa un edificio antico: si percepisce continuamente di essere dentro un luogo che ha attraversato secoli di storia e che appartiene profondamente alla tradizione del pellegrinaggio a Santiago.

Chiostri, pietra, corridoi, dettagli architettonici e ambienti monumentali conservano un fascino straordinario. Tutto contribuisce a creare un’atmosfera che nessun hotel contemporaneo, per quanto lussuoso, potrebbe semplicemente riprodurre.

Il servizio è all’altezza del luogo: professionale, attento e discreto.

Non lo sceglierei soltanto per dormire a Santiago. Lo sceglierei perché è Santiago.

Per chi conclude il Cammino, in particolare, trascorrere qui almeno una notte significa aggiungere un ultimo capitolo all’esperienza del pellegrinaggio.

Pros:

The Parador is the place to stay in Santiago. We received exceptional service there. We had booked a 10 day bike ride with a tour company, ending with the Parador. We chose to extend our stay and booked at the Parador on our own. The hotel staff linked our reservations making our stay seamless. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide variety of foods available. It’s a gorgeous hotel with a rich history.

El trato de el personal en general

Cons:

El colchón de la cama un auténtico infierno.
Que tu agitación aviste y oiga durante las horas del medio día y tarde una celebración privada es inadmisible para alguien que busca paz, tranquilidad y comodidad. Lo siento no tiene perdón, busquen otra forma de hacer eventos, ejemplo, alojar allí a los huéspedes de dicho evento. Lo dicho, dan ganas de poner una reclamación.
