We love boutique hotels and this exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a glass of wine - nice bar!
Pros:

Superior room was great, very spacious and the breakfast was good. The hotel staff is incredible, so helpful and friendly.

Cons:

nothing you can do about the weather so the stay was fabulous at Hotel Torbrau.

Historic Hotel Near Marienplatz
Pros:

The hotel was a ten minute walk to the center of the Marienplatz and near many restaurants and bars. It is at a very scenic location next to the Isartor city gate. Many of the city sights are nearby. The breakfast included anything you might want. The staff was very friendly.

Cons:

There is an elevator, but beware that there are stairs required between the lobby level and the elevator.

Can't beat the location.
Pros:

We booked this hotel because previous reviews mentioned it being close to tourist hot spots (within walking distance), which it was. The staff had a good grasp of English making it easier for us to understand.
