HOTEL, CREAM TEA & BREAKFAST
Pros:

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at THS with a ‘welcome cream tea’ and spa access. This establishment is set in beautiful countryside, notwithstanding a little brown due to the current heatwave. That did not detract from the friendly welcome and attention of all staff at the venue who were courteous and professional. We had a lovely double room with views of the grounds and a delicious full English breakfast.
Well done you guys, we shall return.👍❤️

3 star, need a little tlc.
Pros:

Rooms and communal areas outside of main building a little tired as well as outside jacuzzi area, doors throughout need a lick of paint. Food in main restaurant very good, staff lovely apart from one lady in the spa reception a little rude. Probably a 3 star overall, a little over priced.

An excellent spa hotel
Pros:

Thornton Hall spa hotel is an excellent to stay. The old Hall is full of character from the 1800s. I would recommend it to everyone that I know. The only thing wrong with my stay was mainly the quality of the mattress.

Poor Customer Service and Experience
Pros:

Really disappointed with our stay. In addition to the response and lack of systems in place. When requesting that the assistant manager Jude Diamond, escalate our concerns I was told the matter was closed. During our 25th Anniversary Stay it was clear the hotel was being used as a brothel. With a customer openly speaking on face time, multiple times in public areas about his experiences. Openly boasting and tipping waiters £35. While checking out, in the main reception (with 2 couples in front of us? ) no one intervened. He spoke, again on face time how he paid £200 and went into great detail of his experience. Despite raising as a concern at the time and with a follow up email the Assistant Manager emailed to say he is apologised and the matter is closed. To say this was unacceptable is an understatement.

Knocking shop
Pros:

Hotel and spa are pretty nice but it appears they are happy with the hotel being used as a brothel. One of the guests there was loudly boasting on a face time to his friends about what he was going to do to his ‘guest’. Making it obvious in the gardens at night and another face time call at reception about how much he paid her and in details of what happened. Ideally not what you want to hear with your partner but also unfair to the young women working there. None of this behaviour was challenged by a manager or security whilst we were there and there is no chance on earth I would visit this place again.

Fantastic stay for friends Wedding!
Pros:

Attended a wedding here at the weekend. Our room was clean and comfortable. Ground floor with terrace & table & chairs. Couldn't fault anything. Even when my bill on checkout was incorrect it was sorted immediately. Staff went above and beyond for all of us staying for the wedding. Breakfast was the best part of my stay! Will definitely be returning.

The perfect spot for a family celebration
Pros:

We really enjoyed a celebratory lunch on the Terrace. Booking was easy, I called as well to ensure the team knew the importance of the event. The welcome was really warm and professional. The menu was excellent, service excellent, ambiance excellent! Everyone enjoyed the food, I had potted shrimp a d then lamb followed by a gorgeous trifle. The team took care of lighting the birthday cake candles and even kept a bouquet of flowers in water to stop them wilting. Literally everything was quintessentially elegant. Thanks to the team for being so kind and flexible

Poor stay
Pros:

Stayed here many times and normally have a great stay but this time we got put in room 226, broken fridge rubish behind the television, remote didnt work and people upstairs were noisy most the night. Feel like the stay this time was a waste of money really disappointed.

Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa
Pros:

What a beautiful hotel and grounds with the added bonus of spa facilities. After our first night I mentioned to the receptionist ( Annie) that our shower didn’t work properly and the room was a bit dated. I was so surprised that she offered to move us to another room without any hesitation, which I wasn’t expecting. The room was spacious and beautiful with a fantastic shower.😂Breakfast was wonderful and all the staff very friendly. It was a wonderful 2 night break. Thank you Annie & Thornton Hall.
