A security hold of USD $100 per night will be authorized on the credit card provided at check in and will be released at check-out if no charges are incurred during the stay. The Presidential Suite is for residential purposes only and can sleep a total of 2 guests. A minimum damage deposit of $500 USD will be required. Prior approval from the General Manager is required for any in-room external entertainment, catered events or filming in the Presidential Suite (a Food and Beverage minimum will be added to the room rate). Any damages incurred during the stay will be charged to the guest’s credit card.
A completed rental agreement form for the Presidential Suite is required prior to check in.

Wij, moeder en tienerdochter, hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad. De ligging is werkelijk perfect: midden in Midtown Manhattan, met Central Park, Times Square, de subway en alle grote avenues op loopafstand. Idealer kun je New York bijna niet verkennen.
Het personeel was bijzonder vriendelijk, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen. Onze kamer was comfortabel ingericht met een heerlijk kingsize bed, voorzien van zacht katoenen beddengoed. Een leuk detail was het prachtige, bijna dromerige plafond. Ook waren er voldoende stopcontacten aanwezig (neem wel zelf een Europese adapter mee). Elke dag werd de kamer keurig opgeruimd en schoongemaakt.
De eigen badkamer was een groot pluspunt: een ruime douche met een krachtige straal, dagelijks schone handdoeken en twee badjassen. De airconditioning werkte uitstekend, zowel voor koelen als verwarmen.
Onze kamer keek uit op een blinde muur, maar juist daardoor was het er verrassend stil, waardoor we heerlijk hebben geslapen.
Na onze late check-out mochten we onze bagage nog in het hotel achterlaten, wat erg prettig was voor de laatste uren van ons verblijf.
Ontbijten kan in het naastgelegen restaurant, maar wij begonnen iedere dag bij Premier Cafe op de hoek van 55th Street en 7th Avenue. Deze gezellige deli biedt een enorme keuze aan bagels, broodjes, eiergerechten, muffins, cakes, fruit, yoghurt en uitstekende koffie. Bovendien is er boven een fijne en sfeervolle zitruimte.
Kortom: een comfortabel mid-range hotel op een toplocatie, met vriendelijk personeel en alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt voor een geslaagd verblijf in New York.
Eigenlijk viel er weinig tegen. Het was erg prettig dat er een strijkijzer en föhn op de kamer aanwezig waren. Het enige wat we misten was een waterkoker om ’s ochtends of ’s avonds even een kop thee te kunnen maken.
Daarnaast stond er slechts aan één kant van het bed een nachtkastje. Aan de andere kant hebben we een stoel neergezet en dat was een prima alternatief. Verder hebben we geen noemenswaardige minpunten ervaren.
De ligging was goed, vriendelijk personeel.

Werd geboekt ondermeer vanwege de rooftop . Deze was tijdelijk gesloten…
Er waren langs de kant waar onze kamer was werken aan de gang wat ons vroeg in de morgen wel wakker maakte.

Very loud - in the hallways and especially due to construction right next to the hotel. I couldn’t sleep at all during my stay. I expressed this to the hotel staff but no response.

An old, dirty hotel with poor maintenance. We were placed in a room facing a wall that was part of a construction site. The towels were dirty, and there was a sticky stain on the carpet in the room. We left after one night.

Too old and too expensive for a Hyatt category 6 hotel …it’s the worst Hyatt I’ve been in.
Don’t believe the facade picture they used! I don’t know where they got that pic but it’s a corner building whereas the Dream Midtown is a different, dilapidated building.
The good location and great service was overwhelmed by the hype of a supposedly luxury hotel. Not even a window in our room.
Very long check in time. I waited almost 30 mins despite there being 4 attendance helping only 1 person ahead of me. The first night of my stay the room they put me in was very loud. There was loud construction/drilling right outside my window all night. They told me they could not switch my room night 1 and based on how loud it was, I couldn't sleep at all which affected my business meeting next day. Second night they put me in a different room that was quiet, so I do think that they have certain rooms which are not sound proof, which in NYC the hotel should make efforts to sound proof all their rooms. Also in general the overall aesthetic of the hotel was outdated and needs a refresh. I felt a bit catfished by the hotel, since the pictures online/on their website/yelp where alot nicer than the hotel in person. Staff was also rude, rolled their eyes at me when I complained about the noise night 1. 0/10
