Not a 5-star hotel, with serious staff issues
The spa area is good — that’s about it. Beyond that, this hotel falls far short of a 5-star standard. The main issue is the organisation and the staff: unprepared, insufficient in number, and the whole operation feels completely disorganised.
At the restaurant, the waiters don’t follow basic service standards. The wait between courses is unacceptable, and there’s zero flexibility — if you want to change a dish for dinner, you have to notify the hotel that same morning. On top of that, the food quality is barely acceptable.
The spa itself is nice, but essentially unsupervised. It’s impossible to order anything at the spa bar — they claim there’s staff there, but in practice no one is around. When we went to the main lobby bar instead, we were told we couldn’t stay there in a robe. We would have gladly stayed at the spa and eaten there if there had been even one waiter.
The staff overall (with a few limited exceptions) were unjustifiably rude. They made us feel unwelcome for the entire stay, despite the price of the hotel. One night, a waiter at the bar responded to a polite request with a RACIST comment.
In just 4 nights, I could list many more examples of staff rudeness, but I think the above makes the point.
In summary, there are far nicer hotels at the same price point, and I can guarantee I will never return. Still, please train your staff — receiving a racist comment in a 5-star hotel, just as in a 1-star one, is not acceptable.

The property is amazing & in a great position
The only issue was no air conditioning in the room & with 28-30 degrees it was like an oven from mid afternoon
Booking was for a junior suite. Taken to our room above construction site of the hotel. Loud drilling, hammering etc. They did not blink an eye - did not acknowledge the noise as if very normal for a guest to have to put up with construction noise. Only after we said this was unacceptable did they offer us an alternative. An inupdated room with an ineffective air conditioner. And temperatures in the 90's. Only alternative now was an enormous suite with its own sauna (which would not be used in this heat) - at an extra cost of €750 per day which they generously discounted to €600 extra per day. Had no choice so had to pay it. Staff generally in restaurant (Sam in particular) had a very superior and abrasive attitude. The food on the the other hand pretty mediocre.
Pools however are great. Sacher group entirely overrated - see my review of Sacher Salzburg
