Lage ist gut, Zimmer zum Innenhof sind unzumutbar.
Pros:

Die Lage ist zentral und günstig direkt am Viktualienmarkt. Der Marienplatz ist nur 100m entfernt. Von dort ist man schnell per U-Bahn im ganzen Stadtgebiet.

Cons:

Das Zimmer im 1. OG ging zum Hinterhof und lag oberhalb des Biergartens des im Haus befindlichen Restaurants "Laurin". Das und der damit verbundene Lärm wäre zu verschmerzen, da die Lokalität zumindest unter der Woche irgendwann Feierabend gemacht hat. Schlimm war die Aussicht auf Taubendreck und Mülleimer, der Krach des Motors der Dunstabzugshaube und der permanente Geruch. Ein solches Zimmer außerhalb der Oktoberfestzeit zu knapp 200€ pro Nacht zu vermieten, ist unverschämt.
Mein Gesuch, das Zimmer evtl. gegen Aufpreis zu tauschen wurde von dem überheblichen Mitarbeiter mit Bürstenhaarschnitt und Brille abgewiesen u.a. mit der Begründung "das Hotel ist ausgebucht (ernsthaft? eine Woche vor dem Oktoberfest?) und: schließlich haben Sie über Booking gebucht. Warum haben Sie nicht direkt angerufen?"

Das Zimmer war winzig und dunkel. (siehe Foto, am sonnigen Nachmittag mit Weitwinkel fotografiert)
Zwei schmale, getrennte Betten (mein Fehler, ein 2-Bettzimmer versehentlich zu wählen). Man hatte keinen Platz für die Koffer, es gab außer den Betten keine Sitzgelegenheit, der Fernseher war nicht mit dem Internet verbunden, und wäre in dem schmalen Zimmer ohnehin schlecht nutzbar gewesen. Der Safe war noch vom Vormieter verschlossen (warum fällt das beim Putzen niemand auf?) Die Garderobe konnte man nur bei Tageslicht erkennen, das Licht der Lampe reicht nicht bis dorthin.
Noch ein Funfact: Jeden Abend werden zwischen 22.30 und 23.00 Uhr die Glasabfälle des Restaurants lautstark aus Eimern in den Glasmüll geleert. Wer früh zu Bett will oder muss, ist danach erst mal wieder wach.

Ich war schon mehrfach in diesem Hotel, hatte aber immer Zimmer nach vorn oder zur anderen Seite. Sollte ich jemals wieder das Hotel am Markt besuchen, würde ich von Vornherein ein Zimmer zum Innenhof ausschließen. Leider hatten wir das Zimmer schon im Voraus bezahlt, sonst wären wir sofort auf ein benachbartes Hotel ausgewichen.

Great location - tricky access to hotel
Pros:

This hotel is conveniently located in the old town marketplace. Nice food selections in the various market stalls and a good beer garden next door. Thought it would be noisy due to its convenient location, but all went quite by about 10:30. Also, their on-site restaurant Laurin, is very good.

Cons:

Please note, one thing they don't tell you is that YOU CANNOT DRIVE A CAR TO THE HOTEL. Your taxi or other transportation must drop you off on the perimeter of the market sq. and you have to walk to the hotel. Even the taxis (and the cops) didn't know how to get there. Plus the sign for the hotel is small. You need to look for their restaurant - Laurin - which has a larger sign, and you will find the hotel. Follow the footpaths on google maps and you'll get there. Also, the elevator, while modern, is very small.

For a couple of nights to be in the central for Munich it was ideal, it is an old historic building so you cannot expect
Pros:

Rooms were small but understandable because it is an old building. The bed was so comfortable. The location was perfect for everything. Shower was great, the bathroom was large, walking distance for everything in town ideal hotel for a couple of nights

Loved it- so easy to walk round the central city
Pros:

Position was everything - great for the city centre. They also had a restaurant operating for great breakfasts and coffee and which served food to external guests - not many - maybe 30 or so.

Cons:

Problems opening our safe a few times but always got help to put it right.
