Déçu par ce parador
Pros:

Situation de l’hôtel et charme du bâtiment central. Chambre spacieuse. Literie confortable.

Cons:

La liste est longue pour ce "parador" pas au niveau de la réputation de ces établissements :
- personne pour nous aider avec nos bagages (il nous fallait prendre 2 escaliers + 2 ascenseurs jusqu'à notre chambre).
- bâtiment annexe (où nous logions) sans charme et au couloir sombre.
- salle de bain datée.
- piscine de faible dimension vs taille de l’hôtel et à l'ombre la quasi totalité de la période d'ouverture.
- restaurant pas digne d'un parador. Ex :
-> horaires d'ouverture (20h30) très espagnoles malgré une clientèle plus internationale (qui mange plus tôt).
-> on demande pour commencer une bière et un verre de vin blanc. Le serveur ne nous propose pas de choix (comme cela se fait habituellement) et nous porte directement des verres pleins ... Qu'avons nous bu ?
-> un autre serveur nous déposait les plats sur notre table en regardant ailleurs ...
-> certaines tables étaient "balayées" entre les plats mais pas la notre ...
-> pour le début de repas, nous avions demandé à partager deux entrées ... Résultat : on nous a posé chacun une entrée devant nous et nous avons dû intervertir nos assiettes ...
- déçus, le lendemain, nous décidons de manger à la cafétéria. Une heure trente pour avaler deux boissons et deux pizzas. On s'est même rendu directement au comptoir pour régler l'addition afin d'abréger l'attente totale.

Pros:

El lugar en sí, es pura historia y poder alojarse allí un privilegio. El desayuno muy completo y rico.

Cons:

No hay prácticamente nada que no nos gustase, si tuviese que decir algo sería la falta de insonorización de las habitaciones ya que se escuchaba a la gente por el pasillo, pero la verdad que no se oyó nada a la hora de dormir ni a altas horas. También entiendo que debido a la antigüedad del edificio quizás no es tarea fácil insonorizar.

La situación.

Cons:

La habitación estaba en zona incómoda de llegar, teniendo que bajar escaleras con el equipaje. El acceso a la piscina con escalinata bastante irregular.
La restauración con reserva y nos hicieron esperar 20 minutos entre sentarnos en la mesa y esperar a que nos tomaran nota, al final nos fuimos sin cena.

Muy ordinario. No volveré.

El parador. El monestario es bonito

Cons:

Camas separadas cuando pedí de matrimonio. Teníamos una ocasión especial y lo mencioné con mucha anticipación. Nadie nos ayudó o tuvieron cualquier atención para nosotros.

Great hotel. Just book it
Pros:

This hotel is excellent. Lovely friendly staff, large room with comfortable bed, good breakfast and superb dinner.

Cons:

We were hiking the Camino Invierno and after a long day in the trail, the climb up to the hotel in the afternoon heat was tough. But that's not the hotels fault. The bathroom had a bath, and as seniors we would have preferred a walk in shower. But these are minor things. This hotel gets 100% from us
