In a peaceful street full of lovely houses. The staff are very friendly, the bed comfortable and inviting. Fresh milk and plenty of teabags for one person. An attractive bar, but nobody else was there so I had to have Happy Hour by myself. I was still happy.

Cons:

A bit of noise through the walls. I could hear people in the next room sometimes. I had the small double room which was good for one person, maybe tight for two.

An excellent, friendly place to stay close to York Centre; Recommended to others.
Pros:

The location is excellent just a short stroll along the main road into York city centre.

Our room was very nice, it was clean and comfortable with a good wall mounted TV and a kettle with tea and coffee provided. The bed was large and comfortable and we had a fan in the room which was very welcome as we stayed during a heatwave so we had an excellent nights sleep.. The bathroom was also very clean and had a good shower with plenty of hot water.

The full english cooked breakfast the following morning was superb and the staff who served it were all very friendly, helpful and polite. A special mention for the supervisor Vicky who very kindly allowed us to leave our car in the car park to visit York centre for a few hours before we checked out without extra charge.

Cons:

The £15.00 car park charge but we knew about this when we booked so we can't moan too much !!

我們快11點半才check in，不知道是因為怕我們吵到原本住客，還是體恤我們拖著大行李，我們被升等到家庭房，房間好大好舒服，而且早餐有大飯店等級的服務及規格，真的很滿意

Disappointed.
Pros:

The location was wonderful, quiet and only a 10 / 15 minutes to the centre of York.

Cons:

The only room left was the ground floor twin accessible room.
The room looked "tired" and needed to be redecorated. The door to the room had the varnish / paint peeling and a lock that didn't appear to be that secure. The blind in the bathroom was broken in places, the shower curtain needed to be washed at it had residue of countless shower usage at the hem.
The room was looking into the car park so you couldn't leave the windows open due to security so on a hot night with no air conditioning....
I opted for this hotel as wanted a boutique hotel and the photos and reviews rated it highly but sadly the reality was the opposite. For the price paid I would have received better facilities in a budget chain hotel.
