Séjour à Trieste
Pros:

- Hôtel le plus propre qu’il m’ait été donné de voir jusqu’ici! Mention spéciale pour la femme de chambre (celle au chariot rock&roll qui s’occupait du 4e étage) qui trouve toujours une petite attention pour le vacancier, comme plier le pyjama ou laver les tasses personnelles utilisées.
- Les chambres sont grandes et confortables.

Cons:

- Pour un hôtel 4*, un plateau bouilloire ou machine à café dans la chambre serait bienvenue.
- Le petit déjeuner est un peu sommaire par rapport à ce que nous avons l’habitude dans ce type d’hôtel. Le choix est assez limité et il n’y a pas de pain frais.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht so zentral gelegen wie angenommen. Zusätzlich verfügt sie über kein eigenes Parking. Frühstück sehr beengt und nicht sehr gut.

Close to the center

Cons:

Everything was nice. Maybe keep the parking spot free for check-in. I didn't have much time to unload the luggage because I had to park in the spot reserved for disabled personnel

Bike friendly, good location, attentive and friendly stuff
Pros:

The location was great, despite the fact, that the hotel is near a main street, you could not hear anything in the room. The stuff was very polite, nice and attentive to the small detail. My personal highlight was the bike garage, because I arrived after a long bike tour and not every hotel has one. I also received a room upgrade, so I really-really had a nice stay. Thank you!

Ein für uns unvergesslicher Urlaub!
Pros:

Ausgesprochen nettes und freundliches Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr gut klimatisiert. Das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und alles was das Herz begehrt!

Cons:

Zimmer gegenüber dem Fitnessraum, wo rücksichtslos Gäste die Gewichte nach 22.00 Uhr am Boden fallen ließen!
Sehr unfreundliche Gäste aus unserem Heimatland, aber hat uns nicht gewundert!

Unser Aufenthalt im Victoria Hotel Letterario war einfach fantastisch!!!

Besonders hervorzuheben war das überaus freundliche Personal und dessen Bereitschaft, den Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis zu machen.
Das Hotel wurde auf einem sehr hohen Niveau ausgestattet. Die Inneneinrichtung des gesamten Hotels ist sehr geschmackvoll/schön. Wir haben die Suite bewohnt, die eine sehr anstandige Größe hatte und wurde so eingerichtet, dass sie den modernen Bedürfnissen gerecht wurde.

Wir kommen defintiv wieder.

Ein altes Hotel mit Charme.
Pros:

Der Charme des alten Hotels, die Ausstattung und die Liebe zum Detail hat mich begeistert. Die Motorradgarage befand sich stilvoll in einem alten Gewölbe nebenan.

Sleeping where James Joyce once lived
Pros:

A genuinely special stay, starting with the building itself: this is one of James Joyce's former homes in Trieste, and there's something quietly moving about spending the night in the same rooms where he actually lived. If you have any interest in literary history, this alone makes the Victoria worth choosing over a more generic hotel.

Beyond that, it's simply a well-run, comfortable place to stay. The room was spotless, and the staff were consistently courteous and attentive throughout — the kind of service that makes you feel looked after without being intrusive. The décor has a slightly retro feel to it, but it suits the character of the building rather than feeling dated — it would look wrong if it were all sleek and modern.

Breakfast was good, though the selection isn't huge — enough to set you up for the day, not a lavish spread.

The location is excellent: about 10 minutes on foot from all the main sights, tucked just behind San Giusto hill, so you get a quieter base without losing any convenience.
