It was pleasant enough. No major issues.
Very dated in decor in the rooms. Too many notices in the rooms and had to ask for toiletries. Minor things but that’s why it wasn’t the highest score. Bar not open after 9:30 some nights. Walks and floors paper thin so you could hear other guests on their loos! Shower over bath do not good for older people.

The house was very pretty. The gardens were lovely. They were dog friendly. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little outdated. I could’ve done with a bit of modernisation without spoiling the theme of the room. Staff were friendly but just difficult to find.
It was pretty far out, but we knew that there was a wedding going on so the staff were very busy so it took a little bit of time to check in somebody eaten the biscuits and there was still left in room???

Location, staff and welcome. Dinner was fine but veg was advertised with dinner which turned out to be just peas! Technically correct - But! However, nothing has put us off staying again.

Perfect location for doing business in Shrewsbury. Lovely staff, very helpful, comfortable room in the ground floor and lovely grounds to enjoy. Definitely make this a regular place to stay.
A beautiful old building, very well maintained, in beautiful surroundings, lovely quaint details everywhere you look, ideal for a wedding venue which is what we were attending

Stayed with my wife on our anniversary night (a Wednesday) in August and couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing experience. Stunningly beautiful both inside the room but even more so outside. Has everything we needed in the room, with the jacuzzi bath a particular highlight, dinner at the hotel was excellent, and the staff were absolutely brilliant
