Excellent location, a bit cloudy as they are working and renovating Rambla Street. There is someone at the reception 24 hours a day. The room I got was very clean and pleasant to stay in. Good and varied breakfast without vegetables. Lovely staff who are committed to serving the guests.
The hotel is ideally situated right on La Rambla and the entrance with the staircase looks impressive.
We were only in Barcelona for one night.
After a day of sightseeing we wanted to relax in the room for a couple of hours with a cup of tea but unfortunately there were no tea or coffee making facilities. I should have checked this before booking. Also the pillows, although very clean were thin and I asked for two extra ones which a member of staff promptly brought. The room was large and so was the bathroom with a good shower, sink, toilet and bidet. We had buffet breakfast before checking out and it was fine for us. Plenty of toast, croissants, cheese, fruit, yoghurt. Coffee any style from the machine or tea if you preferred.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Just to add and this is nothing to do with the hotel but if you haven’t been to Barcelona for a while and hope for a lovely stroll along La Rambla you’ll be disappointed as we were because there’s a €55 million renovation going on and the walking area is narrower and therefore busier. Traffic is nose to tail and the noise from the mechanical diggers etc is loud. It’s due to be completed in February 2027. It was a relief to veer off into one of the lovely squares.
The hosts are super friendly and they look after the security of the guests by keeping a strict entrance protocol on strangers. They keep my bags before check-in and they were kind enough to also accept my friend's luggage for a few hours regardless of not staying at the hotel. The hotel is a nice old building with a lot of woodwork. The room had all I needed for a 1-2 day stay. Don't think this works for a long stay but the price is very attractive and the overall value is super positive. The location is unbeatable. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good though not fancy or feasty; they give the basics of a continental breakfast.
The soap they give is the cheapest but it works for one shower :-)
