The crazy lady who is a permanent resident in room 403. She yelled off her balcony at someone being too loud at 2pm in the afternoon. The person was FaceTiming their family back home. She made a lot of noise at night and sounded like she was having fights. She has allegedly been arrested for harassment more than once and is suspected of vandalising a car in the car park
The grounds are beautiful
Didn’t really have an ocean view on the 3rd floor so that was a disappointment. No ocean view from the pool and no AC. The location is remote so you either need a car or you will be walking far distances to anything.
We were able to check in early, which was very convenient. Concierge was very helpful in highlighting local activities and attractions. Front desk was responsive to requests for help or information. We had an excellent view of the pool and ocean. The pool and hot tub were comfortable and well-maintained. The room was very clean and well-equipped. We chose to eat most meals in the unit, given the ease of preparing them and the unrivaled ocean view. Only drawback is that the beach across the street isn't the best for swimming, but many nice beaches are a short drive away.
部屋に洗濯機が付いてて,よかったです。
部屋にエアコンが付いてなくて,暑すぎて,あんまり寝れなかった。
Great location for good value
Jacuzzi was not warm
Good location and large unit. The fans worked really well (no AC, but didn't miss it)
We got a ground-floor unit, so instead of the ocean view, we looked out at the pool, walkway, and parking lot, and it was less private than the booking.com page made it look. Also, there were several ant highways, everyday a few small cockroaches, and once a large cockroach. The staff couldn't provide a unit consistent with the booking.com posting. Would not return here.
It embarrasses me to say we own here. I like to refer to this resort as the “Motel 6 of Maui.” Our resort fees are 1500 a year, so essentially that is how much it costs us to stay here for a week. I suppose that’s considered a great deal for Maui, but we just came from Kona where, for 1100, we stayed at a lovely resort with two pools, a room that was double the size of here, and included A/C! Best yet: it was quiet!! Morning coffee on the patio was my favorite time of day.
The no A/C thing is the main thing that makes this resort so unpleasant. Because of the heat, have to have all the windows open 24/7, and that makes it feel like you’re staying in the middle of a truck stop. One’s ears are constantly assaulted by shouting, Cars honking, neighbors shouting, children crying, children laughing, alarms beeping, radios blaring, and doors slamming. Poor Parker, whoever he is. His mother shouted at him a lot!!!! Certainly, there will be no enjoyable mornings on the patio!!!!
I understand that the best part about coming to Maui is Maui, not your room, but between the noise and the heat I never want to stay here again. Even if I do own here!
Très propre, très bien placé
Rien
We liked the location- far away from the hustle bustle yet close enough. The entire staff was AMAZING!!
No air conditioning and need of a little more pool chairs and much needed few umbrellas or some type of cover for being able to be outside by the pool.
Location superb— views were stunning; immediately across from beach and mountain backdrop. Apartment was excellent. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Full kitchen well equipped and very nice living area. Screened balcony.
Really liked everything. Our only complaint was that concierge was not up to date on a few questions and we got some advice that was incorrect, therefore having to turn around and do a four hour return drive. Also just down the street is a whale sanctuary educational facility and staff knew nothing about the exhibits, aquarium display or programs that are all free. It became clear that their job was to sell tour packages.
Pool
Piano resident playing for hours and walking dogs by pool area. We felt like it wasn’t our vacation but rather guests invading her space.
The bad (and most important): Guests need to be warned about the insane woman who lives in this building. There should be a disclaimer on all booking sites and the resorts website . It is INSANE what goes on here . When I read reviews about her, I thought maybe she was just having a bad day or week. I was wrong. This goes on all day every day and has been happening for years. She screams at and harasses guest over a loud speaker , insults people , records everyone , particularly children. Plays piano , blows a whistle , conch sings , mocks guests , all over the speaker from 7am-10pm. she has a huge dog that barks all day and she walks around to intimidate people at the pool. Look at her you tube channel Aloha See Maui before considering staying here . While the hotel management hands are somewhat tied , they need to do more . It’s been going on for years, this isn’t new. They suggested that guests called police, this is not a guest responsibility. They also said police won’t do anything anymore and they have been called many times .
When she’s not making noise and harassing people, which wasn’t often , it’s all the guests talk about . The negativity and noise consumed our vacation. There was no peace , no way to sleep in or relax , or chill at the pool , when we paid big money to visit here . Our sofa bed was broken , which my son slept on all week , and the bedroom mattress was like sleeping on springs .
The good : the view is spectacular, location is great , pool , hot tub and BBQ area was awesome .
I would come back but only if this crazy lady was gone . I’ve never seen anything like this in my life , this is something you see in the movies
Absolutely not kid friendly!!! NO NOISE in the pool area, or old people that live in the condos will scream at anyone making noise. Especially kids. I saw a father playing with his daughter in the water and the old lady screamed at him and called him an idiot. Told him to read the rules. Which say no noise. They should say up front that it is not family friendly.
Great location.
Plenty of space and anenuties
No air conditioning
