Reception/barman was brilliant
TV in room didn't work but barman did try to get it sorted out
Location excellent. Plenty of parking. Quiet. Good quality towels.
No bed side lights. Toilet very slow to fill. TV reception was not great. In all the hotel appeared very run down.
VERY COMFY BED, ROOM NICE AND CLEAN
SHOWER WAS JUST A TRICKLE, HAD TO LEAVE BY 8 AM SO COULD OF DONE WITH BREAKFAST STARTING EARLIER
The staff
The tv in the room to small.
The whole place inside and out needs painting and a refurbishment.
There were many places where the paint was chipped, plaster damaged and bathrooms re decorated.
Close to our friends we were visiting
Room was dirty, dusty, falling apart, carpet stained and general cleanliness appalling, tv wouldn't stay in one place, bathroom door didn't close, shower dirty with loose pipe work, cracked tiles and temp kept jumping from hot too cold. Water from tap tasted funny.
Would not recommend to anyone and certainly wouldn't stay again.
Nice bar and staff member was helpful.
The restaurant closed at 4pm on a Sunday so we couldn't order dinner. The restaurant was also closed for breakfast on Monday morning.
It was England's World Cup quarter final and the Punchbowl team put an extra television up! Excellent!
Nothing...it was all good.
Location. Good parking and dinner was ok.
Very dirty and smelly bedroom. Stunk of urine.
Not much
It was very dirty smelly and dark.
I would not recommend
The Breakfast and food in the restaurant was very good. The meal size was just right and good value. The bed was comfortable and clean. The rooms were large, had all the necessary things required.
The rooms have very tired decoration and have some minor cracks in the ceiling. The bathroom had some paint peeling off and the door would not fully close (possibly due to the weather The windows do really need replacing as they are old original metal leaded ones. One of the cups was dirty and had a dead fly in it (this was replaced at reception and staff member apologised. Housekeeping was completed after our first night. We had asked them to come back later as we were still in the room, but they didn't return
