totally love Mariners Court Hotel Sydney!
Pros:

we fully enjoyed our stay because of the friendliest, warmest, kindest staff you can ever meet! they are polite but candid enough to have a conversation with... Richard, the manager, is the funniest and most gracious host... he is always cheerful and ready to help... we also LOVED the daily, generous buffet breakfast and the team handling it! Rachel and her entire team are the BEST! every day you get fresh, hot meals, cereals, bread, fruits in season, jams, veggies, spread, and best of all--- unlimited GOOD COFFEE!!! and they have to-go cups so you can bring one when you start your beautiful walk towards Circular Quay...

Cons:

i think something to improve on the room experience overall would be to install a bidet in the toilet... i mean, it is 2026, and most of the hotel toilets now have a bidet, so it would be great to have... it would also be nice to have disposable room slippers, esp for people who forgot to pack one (like me! but thanks to Richard for giving me a pair! you are the BEST!)

Great location to visit the Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery and State Library.
Pros:

Impossible to sleep: noise until 3:30 a.m.

My experience was very poor because I was unable to get a proper night's sleep. There was a lot of noise coming from other guests, including loud voices, shouting and singing, which continued until approximately 3:30 a.m.

In addition, the window in my room did not close properly. It would slide down and leave a gap open to the outside, so I had to use pieces of paper to keep it closed.

The following morning, I reported these issues at reception. After spending a night with almost no sleep, I explained that I did not want to stay for a second night and asked to cancel it and receive a refund. The receptionist told me this was not possible because it was already after 9:00 a.m.

As a result, I decided to book another hotel for the following night and pay the additional cost myself, on top of the cost of the night at this hotel that I ultimately did not use.

For me, being able to sleep properly and having the basic facilities in the room function correctly are fundamental requirements of any hotel. My experience did not meet those expectations, and I would not stay here again.

So very accommodating
Pros:

All the staff were super friendly and could not have been more accommodating. I had a couple of unusual requests and they were handled professionally.

Cons:

I'd have to be really picky to find anything to dislike. This hotel has indoor and outdoor seating areas that make it a pleasant place to stay and relax
