Everything was amazing
The shining light in what was otherwise a very disappointing stay was the friendliness and help the staff provided. Everyone right through the organisation was excellent to deal with. The place was also well cleaned by people who obviously cared.
Unfortunately here things go straight downhill. We arrived to see that the room we had booked was $150 per night cheaper on the information board at the reception desk. Unfortunately the staff said they were unable to do anything about this so we ended up effectively paying for two extra nights (at the reduced rate) that we never were able to use. Regardless the room that was provided was no where near the standard that we were expecting for $500 a night (this was a lot to us, however we considered it a treat when we booked) The room was listed as a ‘Superior King Bed Room’, it turns out that the only difference to a normal room was the bigger bed, which was nice but not worth the money. The room itself was designed with several very strange, and disconcerting features that ended up moving more into the dangerous, especially at night, or using the shower. The room has a strange basin arrangement by the toilet/shower space that pushes out into the bed space. This is edged by a glass partition. While you can see this during the day, or with the lights on, if you get up in the middle of the night and do not want to turn the lights on, you have to be very careful not to walk directly into the edge of the glass as it is in your natural path to go to the toilet. We both found this an issue for this reason. The other major issue was the shower/bath. This is a shower over bath arrangement and while the bath has non-slip stickers added the floor outside does not. There is no option to walk straight in, you need to step over the bath with the obvious trip hazard that is and then use the shower. There is also absolutely no rails, handles, or grip points to use doing this. The towel rails are there but they will not hold your weight if you grabbed them falling. I found, being slightly wider in the shoulder, that I was always banging my elbow on the edge of the movable glass partition by the shower, however to move this sprayed water all over the floor!
Great location and walking distance to everything, bars, restaurants, the new stadium.
Clean and tidy.
Room could do with a bit of a refresh, cupboards etc are looking a bit tired.
The bathroom set up is strange, no sink or no mirror in the bathroom which was a bit unusual. Definitely would be useful having these normal things available.
Quite squished for room for 3 adults, because of the sink setup there’s no real space for the jug etc to ho either!

Location and amenities, just what we needed for our stay.
On one occasion we had lunch in the restaurant there was a waiter serving us and when another staff member we arrived he instantly started sharing how unhappy he was in his job with her.
Then on another occasion when we were having breakfast one waitress spoke to another trainee waitress about something that wasn’t right in a very rude tone compared to show she has been speaking to us when clearing our tables etc. Very unprofessional, I hope there are systems in place to support people like this to speak up and be able to work through what is wrong.
Liked hotel it’s convenient to the city
You had no amenities ie cups even a tsp would have helped. We were given several kiwi fruit but couldn’t eat them as no cutlery.
Convenient and modern
Nothing
Location was central to many restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable.
Restaurant staffing seemed a little sparce.
Location
Nothing I didn’t like.
Always live staying here. Amazing breakfast selection. Staff very professional yet friendly. My daughter just loves the family room.
Nothing.
It was clean, the room was spacious and it was in a good location
