Reliably excellent and doggy friendly
Pros:

Personable, welcoming owner and generally lovely, helpful staff.
Down to earth, cosy, relaxed ambience.
Dinner is very good.
Spotlessly clean and comfy hotel.
Dogs are made to feel particularly welcome.

Cons:

It's not a bad breakfast, but it could be even better - e.g. more fresh fruit options, greek yoghurt, croissants.

Don't like.. cheap sliced supermarket bread for toast accompanying breakfast.

The waitress said my friend couldn't have a sourdough roll instead of toast for her avocado and poached eggs, even though sourdough roll is on the menu for another breakfast dish, and sourdough is the only bread my friend can eat due to her gluten intolerance. It was a raised eyebrow moment.

Would love to have a cafetiere and ground coffee in the bedroom rather than instant coffee.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
Pros:

Accommodation absolutely beautiful, recently refurbished and decorated I suspect. Breakfast varied and table service so efficient, main courses were delivered before first completed! Some furniture in the dining room a little tired but of no significant consequence.

Cons:

Just the speed at which breakfast was delivered.

Very friendly, comfortable and self-contained small rural hotel and restaurant.
Pros:

A very comfortable welcoming place to stay on the beautifully rugged north side of Anglesey. Lots of alternative cultural attractions like derelict but beautiful Porth Wen brickworks just along the coast.

Cons:

Not a reflection at all of the hotel….but we walked into Amlwch before dinner (ostensibly searching for a nice place for a pre dinner drink) but were disappointed to see that limited town facilities have little changed from what I remember when first visiting from the early 80’s - and over the years since. It is a real shame as Amlwch and its beautiful setting holds so much potential. I accept, maybe we looked in the wrong part.

Excellent in every way. Would recommend to anyone.
Pros:

Breakfast beautifully cooked and presented as were evening meals. Nothing too much trouble for the exceptional staff.

If you want a peaceful lovely stay and have your dog with you ….Lastra is unbeatable.
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The accommodation was very good everything you could need was thought of.

We had our dog with us and he was a big consideration in our plans. The Lastra had a very good reputation for being dog friendly and it certainly lived up to its expectations. A lovely touch was a present waiting for our dog with treats and a toy and at breakfast he was given his own two sausages. All the staff made a real fuss of him which absolutely made our stay so much nicer too.

We had a main meal there and breakfasts which were all very tasty and with generous portions.

Cons:

Nothing
