Thoughts on The Inn at Charlestown
Pros:

Room 7 was superb. Spacious with large comfy bed. The view from the balcony was excellent. Delicious buffet breakfast. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The standard twin room had uncomfortable beds which were a bit too small for normal sized adults.

Cons:

That the cabin looked on to a car park..where we thought there would have been more of a view. The cabin could have been cleaner (hair and cob webs found) food was cold in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant but no one once asked how things were at all during our stay.

Pros:

We've stayed here a few times and love the place and the location. We stayed in the pods outside, and although they are a bit older than when we first stayed, they are quirky and comfortable. Dog friendly and lovely places to walk

Cons:

Nothing

Served its purpose.
Pros:

Location and view is amazing and in good weather the balcony was a definite plus

Cons:

Buffet breakfast poorly presented and did not look appetising.Dinner the previous night (macaroni cheese) presented on a dinner plate definitely a first.

Pros:

Die Glampingpods konnten leider wegen siedelnder Wespen nicht bezogen werden. Wir wurden daher direkt im Haupthaus untergebracht. Die Zimmer waren groß, komfortabel und die kleinen Bäder waren blitzsauber! Wirklich super. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig!

Not quite what I wanted
Pros:

The view was nice from the balcony. The room was clean and had thick curtains. There were towels, an ironing board, and hairdryer. There was a car park and bar downstairs.

Cons:

I waited about an hour for dinner, and then it arrived cold. I sent it back, and it was returned far too hot. I couldn't get attention from the waitress to get some water, and every other table had a carafe of water. I had to wait an age for dessert as well. There seemed to be one poor woman frantically running the bar, restaurant, and front of house on her own, with an occasional second lady helping. This place needs more staff. Thankfully I didn't have to wait an hour for breakfast; it was a hot buffet already cooked, and it was decent. I couldn't sleep as the light was on in the hall all night and kept me awake. The bedroom and bathroom are tiny, but I didn't mind too much. There was no info in the rooms about the hotel facilities or info about the wifi, so I had to go back to reception and find out. I wish I had booked somewhere else, though, and gotten a prompt dinner and a good night's sleep, as that's all I really wanted.
