Location
Noises and linens were awful
Staff was very friendly and nice.
Breakfast was very mediocre. Could have been a little better quality and at least some juice could have been offered.
The owner Mike and His Manager Terry continue to work hard on Keeping This Motel as The Top rated, place to stay. These past maybe 1.5 yrs have gone through a mass updating of the rooms. They Hire good people like The young man that Checked me in. Julian was a pleasure to work with.
I have have a BS degree in Hospitality from J &W University, and one of the many things we studied was Room design, furniture placement. So, furniture placement would be my only critique. However, that could be due to Days Inn Franchise agreement. There are many things a Franchisee has to follow. So, I'm not going to put this on Mike or Staff. I moved the Furniture placement to make it flow, while I was there and put it back when I was done. Which was fine. That's my own little glitch. So, I give this yrs Stay a 100 out of 100.
The breakfast was okay
Location, the room was clean
It seemed dated
The staff was wonderful. Location great. Rooms very clean
Everything was great except the weather.
Ok
Check in
Easy to find with friendly staff. Easy check in process.
Although the room/bed was comfortable, the towels were stained and there was some type of substance resembling blood all over the bathroom door that was very sketchy and unnerving.
I liked that it was on the route to the free shuttle to Historic Downtown Manitou. Parking in Downtown can be expensive at almost $4/hr, so if you don't mind walking while you're downtown, leave your car at the hotel and just take the bus. The staff was nice and helpful. The pool and hot tub were good. The breakfast had options, and some were good like fruit and yogurt, but not a lot of hot options.
The pictures were defintely taken at angles to make the hotel look bigger. Its not terrible. The photo of our room advertised a two person tub and I was looking forward to that since my boyfriend and I were doing the incline, but the room we got didn't have that, just a standard bathroom.
