Lady was so friendly, welcomeing even the dog was welcome, breakfast was really nice, bed was so comfy sheets were the softest bedding ive ever slept in x
We arrived late and the restaurant wasnt open so had to walk find food but wasnt far so ok
Comfy bed
Had to leave my dog unattended in the bedroom whilst we had breakfast, asked if we could eat breakfast outside ,no was the answer . And couldnt take her in the dinning room
Comfy bed and nice shower.
Limited cooked breakfast menu unless you like full English, but continental had nice mixed berries and yoghurt. Nowhere to wait for check in except a very hot garden.
Great staff and lovely breakfast
Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice for fruit yogurts and cereals. Cooked breakfast was tasty and a good size. The hotel is spotlessly clean and there were plenty of towels and a tea/coffee facilities provided in the room. The outside area was also nice and we sat out there for dinner; we couldn’t take our dog into the dining area, which I didn’t find unreasonable. Staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable during our stay. They were quite dog friendly and there was no extra charges included.
I found the bed particularly hard and ended up sleeping on the chaise lounge. However, the dislike of the mattress was a personal preference as my husband found it very comfortable. It is not very clear when booking that any evening meals required are via a Chinese takeaway option; there is no evening catering at the hotel and only breakfast is cooked on site. However, there is a good selection and once the food was delivered the hotel served this to us properly, rather than out of containers (on the plus side our curry was quite tasty).
Not much
The room had no fan and was 30 degrees upstairs! It also smelt funny and very tired, dirty. Grumpy guy when I turned up and grumpy woman serving breakfast. Not what I expect. Think a food standard visit is due
Very goodNothin
Nothing
Loved the atmosphere of Meryan house. Decor was amazing and the owners were so friendly.
Room was great, bed comfy, good drink facilities. Nice pub across the road.
Breakfast was a clear 10/10..poached eggs were delicious!
We couldn't stay longer
The location was ideal for our trip and it was very quiet
The room was way too cluttered, less unnecessary furniture and a bigger bed would have been a lot better
Lovely village location just outside of taunton. The family who run this hotel are lovely too, and breakfast is truly 5 stars.
We did find it odd that the door is locked at 11, however a keycode is available so if youre out late you arent locked out.
Noem het ouderwets, maar de nostalgie die er is.
Douche in een bad
We used it to break the journey up to Devon. Only 10mins off the M5 so perfect. Nothing flash about it- probably a bit tired but a nice welcome, clean and a good breakfast. Perfect for our one night stay.
They advertise breakfast from 7.30 midweek- we asked for 8am and was put off until 8.30- my fault I should have insisted on 8am- it just made us a little late getting to our destination.
Room was comfortable, well equipped and spacious. A basic breakfast was provided before breakfast service began as I was leaving early. Staff were excellent throughout.
An observation rather than a criticism. The mattress was extremely soft, though it was comfortable.
Very pretty
It’s charm
Good to have a decent-sized single room, and a comfortable bed too. Beautiful decor throughout and lots of artistic interest. A hotel - and a village - with a history. I enjoyed a walk round Netherclay Community Woodlands, recommended by the hotel staff.
The garden has potential and is obviously work in progress, with a generously sized seating area.
Friendly staff , clean room, good food, character house, plenty of parking and well kept gardens
No complaints
Stained chairs in room. Wallpaper peeling.
Bed uncomfortable.
No guidance in room to facilities. No food offered in the evening. Arrived at the same time as a Just Eat delivery.
Rustig hotel direct aan de fietsroute LeJog. Uitgebreide (Chinese kaart) en goe ontbijt. Behulpzaam personeel
