Great central location
Pros:

Great location to attend our daughter’s graduation at the nearby Cathedral.

Cons:

Nothing to say against the hotel. Amazing building, so quirky and steeped in history

One minute from the Cathedral will everything Canterbury has to offer within a short walk.

Cute for an over night stay but small and could be noisy
Pros:

Great city centre location, clean tidy. Nice shower. Shower gel container was missing and soap
Dispenser was empty by the sink

Cons:

Very small for a double, very hot with no air con. Tiny hanging space and no additional storage space. Would not be good for anything more than an over night stay. If you have a car book parking a long way in advance if you want to be near the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel

Nice cosy room

Cons:

Nobody at reception when we left . Didn’t know where to leave the keys so left it on a notepad at the counter of the bar .

Great value for money in the middle of town
Pros:

Right in the middle of everything to see in Canterbury, excellent location. Great service both in the hotel and the restaurant. Owner was always available for any reason.

A good hotel; but its facilities and amenities need more attention.
Pros:

This was our second time at the hotel. The location is great and we like its old-fashioned style.

Cons:

But we had problems with the TV, with the Jacuzzi (it wasn't working), and with the Kettle; which also wasn't working.

A lovely historic hotel! Loved it!
Pros:

A proper old hotel with loads of history explained by the host. A room with a 4 poster bed! Great! The stairs creak and it’s in the centre of Canterbury so on a bank holiday weekend, it was a tad noisy but it didn’t bother us. Great to hear people enjoying themselves and the live music.

Cons:

Can’t fault it!

Disappointing. For £180/night, I would expect a better standard and a cleaner room.
Pros:

Amazing characterful property.

Cons:

Room was cold, no heating till requested.
No hot water in the morning.
No batteries in the tv remote.
Bathroom extractor fan didn’t work.
One of the two bathroom lights didn’t work.
Cobwebs in the window.
Holes in the carpet.
Bath side panel coming off.
