The bed and pillows were really comfy so helped with a good night's sleep. Staff spoke good English and were friendly.
The lighting in the room wasn't very bright and the temperature of the shower was low, I prefer a hotter shower. But as we were there for just 2 nights it wasn't an issue that needed resolving.

The Elopura is a clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location in Sandakan, which itself is an interesting city and good to visit. The hotel is on the waterfront, with plenty of al fresco dining options nearby. The breakfast is excellent. There is a large modern mall across the square. The rest of downtown is within walking distance, including sites such as Agnes Keith’s house and the (very good) English Teahouse up on the hill. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. It is worth opting for an ocean-view room, there is a lot of activity in the harbour.
Like many (most?) hotels of this standard, the bathroom fittings are in dire need of maintenance. The towel rail was loose and drooping, the toilet seat very loose, the basin spout was very loose.

Cold shower. No where to put soap etc in shower. Pillows to hard and too bulky.

Property was central. Included breakfast was reasonable. Dinner was great. Food and staff were very friendly. Great decor in the lobby.
No refrigerator. Kettle did not work. Asking RM10 for an extra pillow.

Very central. Had parking right at the front. The security guard was so helpful and nice guy.
