Pros:

La posizione ottima a due passi dal mare, ma quel tanto nascosta da stare in assoluta tranquillità, lo staff gentilissimo, pulizia delle camere perfetta, colazione completa di un po' di tutto, ma dove sono stato benissimo, è sul terrazzo dove alle prime luci dell'alba mi sono dedicato alla lettura al fresco e in assoluto relax fino a che il sole mi ha ricordato che ero lì per il mare.

Pros:

Nice area in Marina Grande. Right by the Beach and Many Wonderful Restaurants for Lunch and Dinner selections. Beach and Marina Area are Quite Lovely at Night with Lights Decorating and Highlighting the Marina and Restaurants and Shops. Enjoyable Walking area. It is a Bit if a Walk to Marina Piccola for a Ferry or other Boat Transportation. Give plenty of Walking Time or Take a Taxi. Hotel DelMar does provide for a Call System for a,Taxi. Good Choice for me. Saved much Time. Breakfast is Excellent!!! Nice Atmosphere and Tasty Selections. Also, the Room was a bit Small but Very Comfortable, Clean and especially Cool with a Good AC System. Clean Room with Nice Decorative Sea and Lemon a la Sorrento Print!!!
Enjoyable. Finally, the Staff is Super!!! Very Courteous and Helpful. Parking is a Big Plus for a Rental Car and fairly Close to Hotel.

Cons:

Room was a bit Small but Very Clean, Cool and Comfortable (Nice View too). The Hotel should carefully explain that when arriving to the Hotel for Check in, on the Main Road in to Sorrento from Pompei and Vesuvius that it is a RIGHT TURN followed by an IMMEDIATE SHARP RIGHT TURN to get to DelMar Street and continue on for awhile until you reach the Hotel. Also, for PARKING (RENTAL CAR), it would be Wise to tell the Guest to Pull up to the Hotel and Leave Luggage with a Hotel Rep and then simply make a U Turn and proceed the short distance back to the Parking Area. Even Better, have a Hotel Rep take the Car at Check in Point and Park the Car for the Guest (Convenience). The Hotel need the Car Keys anyhow.
Hopefully, this Information is Helpful sincevthe Hotel DelMar is a Nice Hotel with All things considered.

Pros:

Sentralt på Marina Grande. Kort vei til marinaen og havet.

Cons:

Trange, små rom. Ingen utsikt fra veranda, ser rett i trafikkert vei og bergvegg. Ikke egnet til å sitte ute.

Authentic Italian hotel
Pros:

We had a wonderful two nights at Hotel del Mare. The staff are really friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. Some noise from the traffic when sat on the balcony but we could not hear when the doors were shut. The rooms are authentic Italian style. From here we stayed at The Admiral in Sorrento but much preferred Hotel del Mare.

Welcoming!
Pros:

The hotel property has a good location, near the beach and close to restaurants. This hotel is only 4 stores level therefore, not too much traffic of people. The staff was friendly and provided professional exceptional assistance. IWe enjoyed the terraza. The breakfast was very good with very attentive staff as well.

Cons:

Because the location of the hotel was near the beach so in order to go downtown, it was time to claim up the hill and all the stairs to reach the top.

Fabulous, highly recommend and would love to come back one day
Pros:

Reception staff helpful and knowledgeable and make a great spritz! Rooms clean, amazing buffet breakfast. Daily water and room servicing. Close to Marina Grande, 15 min walk up to the city. Bus leaves every 30 mins to save your legs. Rooftop sunset an absolute must.
