Location - close to airport

Cons:

Arrived late, .not welcoming it was freezing. Took ages to figure out how to get old heat pump working to warm unit up. .Creamer (not milk or even uht). Unit was shabby - paint peeling, curtain was shredded. -Had no electric blankets and only a thin blanket on bed. Ended up using linen from spare bed to help warm up. Overall the unit was in desperate need of some maintenance/love. Cheaper backpackers would have given a better experience edp given the price charged

I would stay here again, they didn’t empty the bins etc everyday which is great

Very much enjoyed our stay, great location and great communication
Pros:

Great location close to Frankton! Enjoyed the outdoor areas and great it has heaters in most of the rooms and a heat-pump as it was very cold when we visited!

Cons:

The bathroom was quite small and a bit dingy and dark but I’ve used worse.

Cheap & cheerful
Pros:

Very close to airport, pools, where our friends were staying and the bus stop into town. It had availability after booking.com cancelled our other booking for Ramada Suites saying that our credit card was invalid. Heat pump & dishwasher great.

Cons:

The tap in the kitchen was dripping but we just put a sponge under it to stop the noise. One of the electrical sockets in room 7 made a sparkling noise when my daughter tried to use it.

I would possibly stay again but more likely to try somewhere else.
Pros:

Once we were there and the place warmed up it was fine. Good facilities a full kitchen and bathroom.

Cons:

The top sheet on my bed was very low. No duvet or blanket and found 2 in wardrobe that didn't fit the bed but sufficed.
The door was ajar when we arrived...a little unnerving walking in.
Not being able to get through on phone prior to arrival was wierd and email was a no reply so tricky to communicate.

A perfect hotel stay — welcoming, and everything we hoped for and more!
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Gateway Hotel Queenstown in the one-bedroom apartment. We were hesistant at first due to the facility reviews but in our experience, we found the apartment was absolutley big, very clean, very comfy and well equipped with Sky TV, WiFi, and heating system being such great additions that made our stay even more enjoyable. It was like home away from home.
The allocated parking was a fantastic bonus, and the lovely management team’s communication was excellent — fast, responsive, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions.
Some roadworks during our stay briefly affected driveway access, but this was only a minor inconvenience and did not impact our amazing experience.
We truly loved this place and would highly recommend Gateway Hotel Queenstown. We would happily stay again, next time bringing the whole family.
