Beautiful hotel and awesome bartender, Josh
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay here in Portland. The hotel is more on the outskirt of the old port area of Portland, but it was a perfect location to not be overwhelmed with foot traffic. We were about 1/2 mile from the Wharfs. Kenzie the front desk manger was so helpful getting our room done early, since we had been on a plane then had to drive two hours. Sarah checked us in and passed on so much information about places to go to eat and see while we were there. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast with lots of variety.
The best part of our visit was Josh, the bartender. Josh was attentive and full of information. He even taught us cribbage. After listing off a few great places to eat near the hotel, we were armed with a list of multiply places to try. Rarely, have I ever met such a genuine person who wanted to be so helpful. He truly wanted us to see places in the town of Portland that would help us really know Portland. He was our own personal "Ask Jeeves".
Definitely stop in and say HI!

A one night stay that was comfortable but not exceptional and certainly not worth the per/night rate
Pros:

Breakfast was average. We've stayed in several European cities in hotels with similar facilities, and the breakfast was superb at a lower cost.

Cons:

The breakfast quality was probably the only thing that makes this hotel less than excellent.

Pros:

The hotel is beautiful, the room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, the view was awesome, and the breakfast was delicious. Really, you cannot beat the location. The manager was responsive to issues we encountered.

Cons:

Other than the hotel manager, the staff were dismissive of an issue.

Request to fix TV was immediately met with technician coming to the room.

Breakfast very poor offerings.

Astonishing to see that the World Cup was not available on TV or shown in the bar area!

It was a comfortable place.
Pros:

The breakfast was fine. However, it would have been nice to have a better fresh fruit selection as the only one offered was bananas. Even then, they were very ripe. Otherwise, the rest was the normal choice of hot food.

Cons:

The water in the shower had weak water pressure.

Convenient location to places we wanted to visit.

The room was very clean!

Cons:

Due to the BonVoy status level of my husband. we would have appreciated water bottles to be offered at the time of checkin. However, I asked for them. On our second day when I asked for more the desk personnel told me that water is only provided on the first day only, though she provided two bottles to me.
