I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Opus. Special thanks to Vanessa. Her hospitality is top notch!
The hotel is perfectly fine but the cost was of a lixurious and special place which this wasn’t
The car valets couldn’t speak enough English to understand my answer when they asked me for my phone number and room number.
I couldn’t control the tempering the room so I had to sleep under a blanket in June
And they charge a $35 resort / destination fee which was total baloney and was just a way of jacking the cost up without admitting it.
Perfectly ok at hotel which wished it was a luxury hotel
The rooms are clean and spacious. Service is outstanding. Hassna was great! She made sure to check me in quickly since I got in late.
We had a block of rooms at The Opus for my son's wedding. The staff at The Opus went out of their way to accomodate every request we made, but it was especially Vanessa, the front desk supervisor, who was exceptional. She helped me several times over the weekend when I was stressed with pre-wedding chores. Vanessa offered me her help and she was calm, kind, efficient and professional. She is an asset to The Opus. Vanessa truly made my stay there an excellent experience.
Stayed at The Opus, Autograph Collection in White Plains and it was excellent. Fantastic location right in the heart of downtown — super walkable to shops, restaurants, and everything you need.
The check-in greeting was warm and welcoming. As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, they upgraded both of our rooms and included a very nice welcome gift. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly and a great value too. Special shoutout to Vanessa and Eze at the front desk — they truly went above and beyond!
Vanessa at check-in was terrific!
The Opus is definitely the beckmark for mainstream hotel brands in the area. It’s a pass or two above the other Marriott locations. Vanessa has checked me in at the front desk on my last two visits. She is very accommodating and makes me feel like she really wants to make my stay special.
From the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation I had prior visits. The property itself is stunning—beautifully maintained with tasteful décor. Every corner reflects attention to detail, from the inviting lobby atmosphere to the spotless, well-appointed rooms.
What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its exceptional staff, especially Hassna. Every team member I encountered was not only professional but genuinely kind and attentive. The front desk staff greeted me with a sincere smile and made check-in smooth and effortless. They also took the time to provide personalized recommendations for local dining, which made my stay feel tailored and special.
This is my favorite Westchester-White plains hotel! The service is incredible!! Vanessa the front manager is kind, welcoming and helpful. She reminds you this was a Ritz Carlton with the Service and attention to details. She had my packages and deliveries ready. She reassured me that anything else I needed for my event would be delivered and taken care of. She even had an electric kettle in my room before I got there. She reminded me of the features that she knew I would be interested in. Spa, Fitness and happy hour with complimentary Rose. If you stay at the hotel in the future you are lucky if she checks you into your suite. If not request her!! As she makes everyone feel like a special VIP. The rooms are incredible of course. Comfy beds and Ritz amenities.

After celebrating our anniversary with a wonderful Saturday dinner party, my husband and I packed our bags for a much-needed getaway at The Opus Westchester in White Plains. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional.
A special thank you to Vanessa, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay even more memorable. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for, and her outstanding hospitality truly stood out, along with the bellmen, 5 star hotel hands down.
The hotel is elegant, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. Our room was comfortable, luxurious, and the perfect place to relax and celebrate this special occasion. Every member of the staff contributed to an atmosphere of excellence, but Vanessa’s exceptional service made a lasting impression.
The Opus Westchester exceeded our expectations in every way. We are grateful for such a wonderful anniversary experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended! Ask for the Opus Suite, we loved our access to the spa amenities, and gift card to the RedHorse Resturant. I can go on and on.
Vanessa was great at the front desk!
Staff excellent hotel clean
I stay at the Opus monthly for work, and it’s truly become my home away from home. The hotel is always spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond. A special thank you to Vanessa, who has become such a friendly and familiar face over the years!!! I always LOVE seeing her at check-in after a long travel day. Little touches like that make all the difference. Highly recommend.
Had another amazing stay at The Opus Westchester. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. What really makes the experience stand out was Vanessa at the front desk, she makes everyone feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Her friendly attitude and professionalism makes the hotel feel like home. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the Westchester area!
Been coming to this hotel for years, they have a lot of great staff from the front door to the front desk. The rooms are beautiful-Converted Ritz Carlton. This has also helped them to keep much of a 5 star hotel staff together. Nice gym and I’m sure some can greatly enjoy the indoor pool. They have quite a few suites so it’s possible to get upgrades-these are very nice. Also a great location to walk to anything in white plains or the train for a quick ride to city.
Now for the negative-
This hotel continues to devalue their service approach-they have now added a destination fee-it is unclear what this pays for as a spa credit is listed but when you inquire the spa has different policies.
In addition they have completely gutted their bar and room service offerings, this included eliminating their overpriced breakfast instead of lowering the price enough to serve more customer($12 coffee/no refill). Not sure what the status is for breakfast today. On my past 3-5 visits to the hotel the rooms are worn and it is beginning to show more. From broken fixtures and door locks to broken buttons on thermostat. (Have button system on doors, this has been inactive since 1-2 years after switch, only some rooms have dnd sign). The gym equipment is also falling apart and has seen zero changes in over 5 years. While I understand things will go downhill overtime it is evident the money they are charging their guests is not being reinvested to keep the property to a consistent level. I hope mgmt reads this and reconsiders their approach as the location and hard product of this hotel are great.
Had an excellent experience at the Opus Westchester County hotes. Vanessa, who checked me in, was excellent. Through the Marriott BonVoy loyalty scheme, she gave me an upgrade to a suite, which was most welcome, after the long flight from London, and served me well for the entire week. Wonderful room with en suite and sitting room, surrounded by windows on three sides. Great time! Highly recommended!
For someone who has traveled the globe and stayed in countless hotels, I can honestly say nowhere have I felt as welcomed and at home as I do at Opus Westchester. The reason is simple: exceptional service management by Vanessa,
Over the four years I’ve been coming here, Vanessa has redefined what exceptional customer service looks like. She greets every guest by name, remembers the small details that matter, and knows exactly what each of us appreciates in our rooms. She doesn’t just accommodate requests, she anticipates them, thoughtfully rearranging and personalizing each stay so it feels uniquely ours.
What sets Vanessa apart is the genuine warmth and care she brings to her work. In an industry where guests are often just a room number, she makes you feel like family. Her attention to detail, her memory for personal preferences, and her ability to make every visit feel special are truly rare qualities.
Opus Westchester is a beautiful property, but it’s Vanessa who transforms it from a hotel into a home. She is the heart of this place, and I cannot recommend her or this property highly enough.
Thank you, Vanessa, for four years of unmatched hospitality.
