Great Hotel located on Umhlanga Ridge!
Pros:

Very well located right next to Gateway.
Room was very clean and staff were friendly.

Cons:

They charged me for parking which was a bit distasteful being a guest.

I HAD AN AMAZING STAY BUT IT WAS BREAKFAST NOT OFFERED BY THE HOTEL YET YOUR PRICE INCLUDED.

THE MOST EMBARASSING SITUATION IS WHEN I WAS DECLINED BREAKFAST BECAUSE IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE YET WHEN I BOOKED IT CLEARLY SAID WITH "GOOD BREAKFAST". THEY SAID IF I BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL IT WOULD HAVE INCLUDED BREAKFAST AT R3200. I HAD MY COUSIN WHO WAS SICK AND A DIABETIC PATIENT. WHICH I INTENDED TO SPOIL BUT IT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

NO COMMENT, TO EMBARRASSED. THEY WANTED R250 PER PERSON . PARKING ON THE ROAD WAS UNACEPTABLE WHIST BOOKING IN. I CANCELLED MY FIST BOOKING WITH PROTEA HOTEL, UMHLANGA ROCKS THINKING THIS WAS MORE ELITE AND THE PICTURES OF BREAKFAST LOOKED AMAZING. I WOULD EXPECT FOR YOUR COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE.

I will think twice before booking in too this hotel the one in JHB is the best for now

Ppl was friendly and was safe at all times friendly stuff and helpful at all times

Cons:

Room was not clean from check in there was dirty under the beds and hair all over the room there was one blanket one bed and it’s winter time now you should keep a spear one in cupboard for guests if they need we don’t need to call room service to ask for one your room service food is not nice food get off the next day and makes room smell n gives u running tummy I tried room service twice and had running tummy twice on different days pls change menu or new chef pls

Birthday Weekend Getaway
Pros:

The location is 10 out of 10!! The room was nice, just wish it had 2 bathrooms as I have 2 daughters LOL. The staff were friendly.

Cons:

First day our room was not cleaned had to call reception.
