I recently stayed in the one-bedroom apartment and was very disappointed with the overall experience.

Something didn't sit right with me from the very beginning. On the day of check-in, I received a call at around 1:30 pm—just 30 minutes before the scheduled check-in time—to say there was a problem with my room and that it had no power. I was then asked to relocate to their parent accommodation in Collingwood. The timing felt suspicious, and it left me wondering why this issue wasn't identified and communicated much earlier.

There's a reason people book accommodation in a specific location, and it's not to be relocated somewhere else at the last minute. I obviously didn't agree to the relocation, and no compensation or alternative solution was offered for the inconvenience.

The one-bedroom apartment I was eventually given was extremely small and felt cramped. It was also very outdated, looking as though no renovations or upgrades had been done for many years.

There were several maintenance issues throughout my stay. The TV didn't work, there was no internet connection, and, most concerning, the heating wasn't working. Staying in Melbourne during July meant cold, windy, and wet winter weather, so having no heating made the apartment very uncomfortable.

Housekeeping did their best to help by bringing in old, worn portable heaters, but they were inadequate and did little to warm the apartment.

Overall, the accommodation was not worth the price. It is in desperate need of maintenance and modernisation, and basic amenities such as reliable heating, working Wi-Fi, and a functioning TV should be standard. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Nothing major that we didn’t like, the apartment was smaller than we expected, kitchen was tiny and no bench space so not particularly a usable space, there were a few small weird flaws with the apartment like a random hole in the bathroom wall with some sort of clear Perspex screwed into it, not neatly and seemed to have zero purpose and the top of the small wardrobe was unfinished with exposed framing etc. Wardrobe was very small with no shelves only some small wired basket sets which was a shame because the apartment being so small meant leaving luggage on the floor was not an option as there was no room to walk if we did, so we had to try and jam everything into the small wardrobe. None of these things were a big issue though and we did not let them impact our stay and would stay again.

TVs in bedrooms weren’t working. En-suite shower leaking.

I booked a city view apartment and once I arrived the receptionist told me that it’s not available and gave me a side view apartment!
Requested a baby crib, it was outside the bedroom and even you can’t put it inside the bedroom
How can the baby sleep alone outside the bedroom??
They refused to refund me for the crib and I’ve paid extra money to get a city view

Honestly it would be pretty difficult to point that out for me. The fact that I was so close to my daughter’s was simply amazing for me. The room was a decent size, clean & comfortable. The staff was cordial & helpful.

Very disappointed with the way this hotel handled the security deposit. I was advised that the deposit would be refunded after check-out (11 June) , and there were no damages or outstanding charges on my account. Despite this, it took nearly a month for the deposit to be released back to me, when I called on (01/07) Only when I actually called the hotel did they release the deposit, no apologies whatsoever. It is completely unreasonable for a deposit to not be returned when there are no outstanding charges AND require the guest to call and request it back. How difficult is it to get the basics right? Apart from the issue with the deposit the rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. However when we arrived the room provided had an awful smell (like an overbearing aftershave) it was so strong it gave ma a headache after 10mins despite the doors to the balcony being open. I asked for another room and they obliged, another annoyance and unnecessary.

No hot water !!!!!!! Rang but no help !! Old and dated

Room wasn’t ready after requesting for early check in. I arrived after check out time and room was still not ready. Was given a disabled room which had mould in the shower, couldn’t access fridge as dining table was in front of it
