We always stay here when we come to Rocky Mount. The room is spacious and has a small fridge and a microwave and lots of counter space. There is a large indoor pool and a gym which I hope to have time to use next time we stay here. Breakfast is pretty basic with waffles, toast, eggs, potatoes and sausage, and oatmeal. They have luggage carts you can use to take your luggage to the room.
There could be vegan and gluten-free options at breakfast and they could use real dishes instead of throw-away styrofoam. I brought my own bowl, soy milk and gluten-free granola.

No luggage carts when we checked out on Sunday morning. Front desk told me to check the hallways to see if I could find one. Not my job! Really pissed me off at 5 in the morning.
I loved the room when we stayed on our way down on August 8th, it was clean and comfortable. On our way back we booked again because we liked it, so August 19th we booked again however this time the room was older I think it wasn’t as comfortable or as nice but it was okay. Unfortunately we had extremely noisy upstairs neighbors but the staff was wonderful and moved us even though it was 11 pm the room we were moved to was much nicer so I will say it was overall pretty good!

The whole hotel had a bad smell to it. Almost a musty damp aroma. The carpets and elevators were dirty. The front desk person was helpful. She moved us three times in an effort to find a room with the least amount of smell. We will not be returning to that hotel

The breakfast was very good.
The last morning of our stay, a maid knocks on the door and immediately opens the door with her key card. This was around 9:45 in the morning, checkout was not until noon, and my husband was in the bathroom. I said excuse me we are getting ready, but it’s well before noon and we have the do not disturb sign on the door. She said I was just checking to see if you were still here. This was is
absolutely ridiculous! We will never stay there again, even though this is our second time in a year. My husband was embarrassed and we have no idea if they were coming in our room any other time when we were gone for the day. We were visiting family and it’s literally five minutes away.
