Classic charm, impeccable service, and a stay we won’t forget.
Pros:

Everything was perfect, from start to finish, from the elegance of the hotel to the impeccable service and attention to detail of the staff.

Many thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable and a special mention goes to Christina, whose professionalism, warmth, and kindness were exceptional and made our stay even more special.

Le Metropole is a place we would gladly return to and highly recommend without hesitation.

Pros:

It will not be for everyone, as built in 1902. So rooms are big with grand ceilings, but hard for air-conditioning to keep up. Lovely buffet supper and good breakfast on the roof. Great views snd photo opportunities. Made to feel very welcome by Christina and all the staff.

Cons:

Sometimes hard for driver to park out front to pick you up, but a busy corner of town.

Uns hat alles Äußeres gut gefallen. Die Personal war sehr nett, immer lächelnden Gesichter und top Service auch noch. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht und das Essen war lecker und vielfältig.

Un incubo con recensioni pilotate.

Un vero incubo: camera fatiscente con bagno che si allagava a ogni doccia, moquette sudicia, balcone pieno di escrementi di piccione lì da settimane, fetore nauseante di vernice fresca (stavano facendo dei lavori di ristrutturazione).
Siamo arrivati alle 7 del mattino e, non essendoci la
possibilità di fare check-in anticipato (nonostante molte camere libere) abbiamo dovuto pagare una notte in più per un’altra camera. Il ragazzo alla reception ci ha specificato che avremmo dovuto cambiare camera per rispettare la nostra vecchia prenotazione. All’orario di checkout siamo scesi con i bagagli per cambiare camera ma il suo collega si è rifiutato di farci cambiare camera, nonostante gli avessi detto del bagno che si allagava. Così siamo dovuti tornare nella vecchia camera riportando i bagagli sopra da soli (i facchini era misteriosamente spariti). Nel frattempo un’altra dipendente, pensando che stessimo andando via, ci ha pressati con insistenza non solo per dare una recensione positiva, ma per mettere 10 come punteggio, al punto da chiedermi lo smartphone per mostrarmi come lasciare la recensione. Suppongo dunque che le tantissime recensioni positive vengano quantomeno “condizionate” psicologicamente da questa usanza scorretta dell’hotel.
A fine soggiorno il ragazzo che si era rifiutato la camera ha mentito spudoramente di fronte alla sua collega, negando la nostra richiesta due giorni prima di cambiare stanza.

We were extremely well hosted by Christina Makram, she so friendly and kind with us as foreigners

Cons:

The lunch was expensive and the quality really poor, as a compensation the hotel offered us a bottle of wine. Anyway, it is not acceptable to eat such bad food for a cost similar as in Europe. We waited 1hour and 20 minutes for our lunch. It is pity because the view from the terrasse is amazing.

I had an emergency health issue that the hotel took immediate action and brought a doctor with 45 minutes...truly saved my stay...thank you Metropole....shout out to Jena for her outstanding presence
