We stayed at the Novotel Liverpool as a family of three. The room was fairly standard but clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
The pool area was okay, although you have to book time slots in advance. Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be anyone monitoring the bookings, so the system felt a little pointless and the pool could become quite busy.
Overall, it was an average stay. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong, but there also wasn’t anything that stood out enough to make us want to return. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Location was excellent for our family wedding in the city centre, the room was basic but clean. There was a faulty lock on the toilet door, I was locked in, I told staff members outside the room and they said it would be fixed by maintenance. It was fixed before we returned
I called them regarding a change to the booking, as I was told to do, but I was told that they could not help, they said I had to go through Booking.com.
A little frustrating but all in all the problem was resolved and our stay was good.

Location was great, good value for money. Clean and tidy!
Having to book the pool and that you couldn’t use it before check in. We also left our bags in the hold room when we checked out and had to queue in the check in line to get them, meaning we missed our bus to the airport. We asked the girl as she had the door open of the luggage room to put others bags in but she made us queue up which was frustrating. A better system for retrieving your luggage would be helpful.

The location was excellent and convenient for visiting Liverpool city centre. The reception staff were polite and check-in was straightforward.
Unfortunately, our stay did not meet the standard we expected from a Novotel hotel. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The toilet was very dirty when we arrived, which was unacceptable. The bath plug/drain also appeared to be broken, making it very difficult to drain the water. We had to use our fingernails to lift it, which was frustrating and unhygienic. We were also surprised that the hotel did not provide basic complimentary toiletries such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, as this is something we have received at many other hotels. These issues significantly affected our stay. We hope the hotel will improve its housekeeping and maintenance standards so future guests have a much better experience.
