A simply lovely hotel!
Pros:

We did not plan to stay here, but we needed a new place to stay for our remaining 4 nights. After some doubts we chose to stay here and boy, we did not regret it for a single moment. We were welcomed with a glass of Madeira wine at the reception desk. Then we were showed to our room (we never experienced that before). The room itself was very comfortable. Our room number was 1229, all the way at the end of the corridor on the 2nd floor. Is it a long corridor? Yes, but nothing to be worried of. Right next to us there was a some sort of childrens playground and some padel courts. Did we hear it? Yes we did. Was it disturbing? No, not at all.
Breakfast was good. We were welcomed by the host every day in a very nice way. There were plenty of options to chose from, from bread to fried eggs, yoghurt, pancakes, etc. Was it the best breakfast ever? No it wasn't. But it was good enough to have a good start of the day. Oh I would recommend having breakfast outdoor with a lovely view on the ocean.
The swimming pool was very nice and quite big for Madeira standards. There were plenty of beds right at the pool, so no worries about missing out on one.
When we go back to Madeira in the future, we will for sure come back here again!

Cons:

I cannot mention anything. Everything was lovely. We felt quite sad to go home again to be honest.

Pros:

Excepcional deste a receção, ao quarto, limpeza, toda a simpatia dos funcionários, pequeno almoço. Excelente! Sem dúvida que quando à madeira voltar este hotel será a minha escolha novamente.

Kitűnő, szuper!
Pros:

A reggeli és a vacsora kitűnő volt, választékos ételek. Szobát teljes mértékben rendben találtuk, nagyon jól felszerelt. Kényelmes ágy, konyhai rész, hatalmas terasz. Egyszóval szuper, ajánljuk mindenkinek! Buszmegálló közvetlenül a szálloda mellett található. Itt áll meg a reptéri járat is.

Great swimming pool. Good snack bar. Sea views. Good breakfast.

Cons:

I contacted the hotel more than a week before arrival and requested a walk in shower as I am disabled. I was allocated a room with shower over bath and I requested a change to a walk in shower option. Reception told me there was no availability at my standard, room with sea view, for a further 5 days. They didn't address why they had ignored my advance request. I said I would contact the General Manager myself to address this and they insisted they would deal with it. I raised with Booking.com. Three days later, after my chasing up every day, they offered me a Superior Room with walk in shower. I had to pay an extra "discounted" rate of 25 euros per night. I reluctantly agreed. They should have offered a free upgrade at the outset as it was their mistake not to allocate a walk in shower room.

Pros:

Super Frühstücksbuffet mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Frühstück auf Außenterrase mit Blick aufs Meer möglich. Klasse Pool- und Gartenanlage mit ausreichend Liegen und auch Schattenplätzen.
Vom Garten aus auch direkter Zugang zur Promenade.

Cons:

Ordentlicher Preis; is aber grundsätzlich auch gerechtfertigt. Parken in Tiefgarage kostet 15 Euro der Tag, rund um das Hotel kostet das Parken tagsüber 0,56 Euro die Stunde (abends, ab Samstag nachmittag und Sonntags frei) - allerdings maximal für 3,5 Stunden. Man muss also immer nachwerfen. Einen Parkplatz haben wir immer gefunden.

Pros:

Very friendly staff can’t do enough for you, we stayed B&B which is just right loads of places near by to eat and drink, had dinner one night at the hotel which had a good selection, first time in Madeira but won’t be the last, if you get. A chance visit the Lido bar up the hill excellent

The best hotel on Madiera
Pros:

Our 5th visit to this wonderful hotel. Each year is always beyond expectations. The reception staff are always very helpful with queries and advice down to even printing bus timetables off for us. Every year we look forward to meeting Dalila who gives her full attention to our needs and greets us so warmly at breakfast which we would add is excellent with a vast range of food and drink. All the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is kept to a high standard. The outside area and gardens are very well kept. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and look forward to returning again in 2027

Pros:

Sauberes Hotel. Schöne Pool-Anlage. Tolles Frühstück mit grosser Auswahl. Es war auch immer bis am Schluss fast alles verfügbar. Häufig wird ja nicht mehr aufgefüllt ab einer bestimmten Zeit.

Cons:

Die Dusche war der Horror. Die Wassertemperatur wechselte im Sekundentakt und nicht nur wenig. Es ging von kalt auf extrem heiss innert Sekunden und dies immer wieder. Egal wie man den Temperaturenregler einstellte. Man war zwar 10 Minuten in der Dusche, aber geduscht hat man 1-2 Minuten. Den Rest der Zeit musste man abwarten.

Das 2. war die Parksituation. Es steht, dass sie Parkplätze für 15€ haben. Diesen wollten wir an der Rezeption buchen gleich für die ganze Zeit, damit wir uns keine Gedanken darüber machen müssen.
Leider ging das nicht. Man musste in die Tiefgarage reinfahren und parken. Danach musste man das Ticket aufbewahren und wenn man raus wollte, musste man zur Rezeption und das Ticket einlösen.
Und hier war dann das Hauptproblem.
Z.T. musste man warten, weil andere Gäste noch am Einchecken waren. Oder je nach Rezeptionist dauerte es viel länger und die Preise waren auch willkür.
Am besten hätten sie einfach einen normalen Automaten in der Garage, wo man selber zahlen kann. Der ständige Gang an die Rezeption nur um mit dem Auto aus der Tiefgarage zu fahren war wirklich nicht praktisch.
